Prior Official Disbandment, Member Sally Confessed They Were Kicked out from Their Dorms

Gugudan, which debuted in 2016, is an eight-member girl group composed of Hana, Mimi, Nayoung, Haebin, Sejeong, Soyee, Sally, and Mina. They initially debuted with nine members, but Hyeyeon left due to personal reasons in 2018.

In the same year, Gugudan released their third EP, "Act 5, New Action," as a comeback without Hyeyeon, and it also marked the last music release that they had in their four-year career.

Actually, the girl group established a well-received career as during debut, the popularity of members Sejeong, Mina, and Nayoung who were given the spotlight after joining the survival reality show, "Produce 101" helped them capture fans' interest.

Upon their debut, they immediately received a "Rising Star Award," from the "Asia Artist Award" ceremony as well, a proof of their rising fame.

But in 2018 to 2020, Gugudan had a long hiatus, fans worrying then about the possible disbandment of the group.

Last July, member Sally confessed that the members were actually kicked out of the agency earlier in 2019, and the agency told them to never come back.

When the news broke out, Jellyfish Entertainment didn't explain their side, but the disbandment news on this day justify Sally's revelation.
