MONSTA X Presents an Electrifying Performance at the 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon

MONSTA X proved that they are among K-Pop's performance masters with an eye-catching stage at the 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Daegu.

The six-member boy group under Starship Entertainment - Shownu, Kihyun, Minhyuk, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and IM - completely owned the stage with their performance of "BEASTMODE" and "Love Killa." Dressed in elegant ensembles of black, white, and silver, the members in perfect sync worked in harmony with their digital backgrounds as well as the large illuminated letters that spelled out the group's name.

MONSTA X then performed its hit comeback, "Love Killa," exuding the same tension and appeal as they did when they released the chart-topping track in November. The Starship Entertainment performance masters, after a smooth upbeat transition, began "Love Killa" - sending Monbebe around the world excited and wanting for more.

Then after pacing through the SBS Gayo Daejeon stage, with a collage of the audience's screens hovering above them, MONSTA X declared: "Excuse my charisma," before launching into an unexpected yet refreshing number - the group's 2015 debut single "Trespass."

Delivering what they set out to do, MONSTA X leader Shownu explained that they "prepared the stage with a 'back to the 2015' feel to it." He added that even their outfits were specifically chosen to match the same nostalgic appeal when they first debuted to the public.

"It captures the passion and intensity that we had when we first debuted. Please enjoy it," Shownu added, noting the maturity that enhances the performance five years later.

Offering an all-around experience for all Monbebe around the world, the MONSTA X stage also took the opportunity to highlight members with special stages at the 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon. Jooheon and IM performed together with Korean music icon Lee Juck in a moving performance of "Dolpalmae." Additionally, Kihyun demonstrated his impressive vocals, singing the classics "Becoming Dust" and "My Song" as a part of the group's tribute stage for the folk-rock legend and Dongmulwon member Kim Kwang-Seok.

MONSTA X has recently completed its promotional activities following the release of its third studio album, "Fatal Love." Their album topped the South Korean Gaon weekly charts, as well as reaching the eleventh spot at the US Billboard World Albums Charts. Its lead single, "Love Killa," earned consecutive music show wins for the group: one from SBS MTV's "The Show" and the other from MBC M's "Show Champion."
