Jonathan Moffett, a top-notch drummer who has long worked with Michael Jackson, expressed his honest impression with the global K-pop group BTS and its hit track, "Dynamite."
On Jan. 7, Thursday, Jonathan Moffett exhibits his "moffettized" version of the BTS hit song of 2020, "Dynamite," which he posted on his YouTube channel, Jonathan Sugarfoot Moffett.
Jonathan Moffett is a drummer who has participated in live tours with Michael Jackson since he was a Jackson Five member in 1979. Jonathan Moffett has also worked with Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder.
Indeed, being recognized by him is a huge honor, which attracted favorable music fans' responses.
"'Dynamite' is a track that could conquer the World," Moffett says
In the video, Moffett conveyed his sincere and honest thoughts about BTS and the song. According to him, he immediately thought that "Dynamite" would become a big hit upon hearing it. "I thought this song would conquer the world. I liked the beat, the grove, and the sound of the guys' voices," he added.
For this reason, he feels like playing the song.Jonathan Moffett then personally presented a drum solo performance of "Dynamite" in his own style. He shared how he kept the beat simple just as it is, adding a funkier vibe to the ending of the song to give his own energy.
While playing the track on the background, Moffett added, "So as I get into the groove, it's a very simple track, then I started feeling the pulse of the groove and I did what was necessary for the song. To suit the song and the lyrics, I kept it simple, added my energy and articulation to the groove in the tracks."
He also felt that ending it just like that will not do it, adding a simple drum solo which completed his version.

BTS Selected as Most-streamed K-pop Artists 2020 + GRAMMY Postponement
Despite a breakthrough last year, BTS continues to have a skyrocketing career, starting a good 2021. On this day, BTS was ranked as the most-streamed Korean singer on Spotify in 2020, as reported earlier.

On the other hand, The Grammy Awards, the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the U.S. was moved to other dates due to coronavirus.
The Recording Academy of America, which organizes the Grammy, said on Jan. 5 that it will postpone the 63rd awards ceremony, which was scheduled to be held on January 3, to March 14. "We decided to postpone the event following the local government's guidelines as the spread of Coronavirus in Los Angeles has limited the medical system, including the capacity of intensive care units," he added.
At the ceremony, BTS was nominated for "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance" through dynamite.
