MOMOLAND Nancy's Agency Drops Statement after Idol's Undressing Photos Leaked + AAA Organizers' Side

The 20-year-old K-pop star Nancy is currently suffering a lot due to her leaked and photoshopped photos online, says MLD Entertainment, along with its legal response.

On January 11, MLD Entertainment released its official response following the illegal filming that happened to its artist, MOMOLAND Nancy.

Along with this, the organizers of the awards ceremony responsible for the illegal distribution of the photos released their side as well, conveying that they were truly sorry for Nancy and that they will cooperate with the agency under legal process.

MLD Entertainment Releases Official Statement in Regards to the Incident Concerning Their Artist Nancy

In response to the recent controversy involving Nancy, MLD Entertainment released a notice, warning the people who will further harm their artist.

"Recently, illegally-filmed and manipulated photos related to Nancy, our artists, are being distributed online and on social media platforms. Nancy is a victim of a photo taken without her permission, and it was photoshopped. It is Nancy who should be protected first, then.

Due to this, we will take strong legal action against illegal photographers and first-hand distributors in cooperation with police and overseas law enforcement agencies.

We will also carry out civil and criminal penalties for violations of the special law on sexual harassment through our legal representatives.

Nancy is currently suffering a lot. We hope there will be no longer artists that will be harmed with malicious postings.

We will continue to make every effort to protect our artists through continuous monitoring and to take strong legal actions without any leniency and agreement."

MOMOLAND Nancy became a hot topic on various online communities on Sunday, Jan. 10, after her photos changing her clothes during Asia Artist Awards 2019 were leaked and distributed. However, it was later confirmed that the photos were illegally filmed and were manipulated; thus, the photos will not be shown to respect Nancy and people affected by the incident.

AAA 2019 Organizing Committee in Hot Water after Illegal Filming Incident, Releases Apology

On the other hand, the organizing committee of the Asia's Artist Awards 2019 in Vietnam, which has been under controversy over illegal filming and distribution of Nancy's photos, released an official apology message to both Nancy and MLD Entertainment.

On the same day, the organizers expressed that they are truly in deep regret and responsible for the distribution and illegal manipulation of Nancy's photos during the awards ceremony.

The committee said, "We will actively cooperate with Vietnam and the Korean law enforcement authorities on illegal filmers and original distributors. We will cooperate with Nancy's agency MLD Entertainment to continue to monitor and cooperate with civil and criminal responses to related malicious postings."

They also expressed their sincere apology to Nancy and asked fans and netizens to give the female idol more support in the future.
