What Can EXO Xiumin Say about His "Mr. Queen" OST?

On Jan. 31, tvN's hit drama "Mr. Queen" dropped its seventh OST: Xiumin's new song "To My One and Only You." The sentimental ballad is about a man who has fallen in love with someone - this marks his first release since he accomplished his duties in the military.

When he heard the OST for the first time, EXO Xiumin shared that he expected the song to be something exciting and upbeat. But when he listened to the demo, it turned out to be a ballad, which came out to be a surprise for him. "The song was so good that I gladly decided to take on the challenge [of singing it]. I'm grateful that I was gifted the excellent opportunity to sing for an OST," he continued.

Describing the song, he stated, "I think that it's a song where the lyrics, melody, and the message it wants to convey come together perfectly. I think the charm of 'To My One and Only You' is that it does a great job imparting the words [the narrator] wants to tell someone through the track."

The artist went on to share the time when he was recording "Mr. Queen" OST, "While I was recording the song, I focused on my breathing while singing. Also, since it was for OST, I took note of the vibe and emotions, because I thought the track needed to be in harmony with the story of the drama."

EXO Xiumin concluded, "I hope that this OST will serve as a gift for my fans to celebrate my military discharge."
