Dandanies, rejoice! EXO D.O will be seen on the big screen once again in an upcoming remake of a Taiwanese movie!
On Monday, Feb. 15, Hive Media Corp., the production company behind the film, announced that Do Kyung Soo has been cast in a Korean remake of the 2008 Taiwanese film titled "Secret." The original movie starred Jay Chou and Gwei Lun Mei.

"Secret" is a fantasy-romance film that tells the story of a piano genius who transfers into a new school and meets a girl who was playing a mysterious song in an old piano practice room. And that's where their love story begins.
Do Kyungsoo, commonly known as EXO D.O, will play the male lead role, which is similar to Jay Chou's role of Ye Xianglun. The female lead has not been decided yet and will be chosen through auditions.
The Korean remake of the Taiwanese film will be directed by Seo Yoon Min, who previously worked on several movies such as "April Snow," "Happiness," "You Call It Passion," and is currently working on the upcoming film "Memories of Tomorrow" (working title). "Secret" is set to start filming in the second half of this year.
"Secret" is EXO D.O's second acting project after he was discharged from the military, the first one is another new film titled "The Moon."
EXO D.O Films a New Movie Titled "The Moon" Following Military Discharge
After his military discharge on Jan. 25, EXO D.O already kicked off filming for a new movie titled "The Moon." Directed by Kim Yong Hwa, the upcoming film is about a man left alone in space after an unexpected accident (will be played by EXO D.O) and another man on Earth who is trying to get him back to the planet safely (will be played by Sol Kyung Gu).

"The Moon" is not only his first acting project after he returned from the military, but it is also his first one this year. With the Korean remake of the Taiwanese film scheduled to begin filming in the second half of the year, it looks like Do Kyungsoo will be productive this 2021.
From "Cart" to "Pure Love" to Major Small Screen Broadcasts: D.O's Previous Film and Drama Projects
EXO D.O made his big-screen debut with a supporting role in the movie "Cart" back in September 2014. In January 2016, he was chosen as one of the voice actors for the animated film "Underdog," which premiered in 2019. Later in February, he got his first male lead role in the romantic movie "Pure Love." Then in November of the same year, he was again cast in another film, titled "My Annoying Brother."

In the following years, the idol-actor continued to star in numerous movies, such as "Room No. 7" (2017), "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" (2017), and "Swing Kids" (2018), arguably one of his best works yet.
Besides appearing in films, EXO D.O was also cast in dramas, starting with a supporting role in the SBS drama "It's Okay, That's Love" back in 2014. His latest drama is "100 Days My Prince," which is the fifth highest-rated Korean drama in cable television in history.
