In particular, the "biggest girl group in the world" became the talk of the town due to the fact that even in local department store wherein a large number of luxury beauty brands are located, BLACKPINK members can be easily spotted as the face of numerous brands.
Not only did the quartet who debuted in 2016 rose as K-pop superstars, but are recognized as fashion and beauty icons as well.
BLACKPINK as Beauty/Fashion Luxury Brand Models and Ambassadors
On Feb. 15, the Korean news outlet, Ilgan Sports noted how BLACKPINK attracted the global market with their powerful personal brand power.
The media gave emphasize to the four members being chosen by top luxury beauty brands as their representatives, such as Jennie who is the model of AmorePacific luxury brand Hera, Jisoo who is working as a Dior Beauty Ambassador, Lisa who is a Mac Global Ambassador, and Rosé who is Saint Laurent Ambassador and model.
Mac then conveyed why they chose Lisa as their ambassador, saying, "Lisa is a popular K-pop icon who is leading various trends both inside and outside the beauty industry while communicating with consumers extensively at the same time as her strong influence across pop culture around the world."
The Thai-born K-pop idol then becomes the first-ever K-pop idol to be Mac's Global Beauty ambassador, proving her influence and popularity.
Along with Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo were also doing well as ambassadors of their respective luxury brands. In 2020, the power of Rosé was flaunted when Saint Laurent advertised Rosé's pictorial on the Central Building in Hong Kong's largest downtown area.
At the same time, Jisoo has been gracing Dior Beauty with her perfect visual by conducting various pictorials with the brand.
Lastly, Jennie, who is deemed to be the "it girl" of this current generation has been collecting numerous ambassador and model title. Aside from being Hera's ambassador, she's also referred to as the "Human Chanel," for her elegance and beauty that shines more when she's wearing the brand's ensembles.
In the second week of January, Jennie was announced as the new model for Lotte Chilsung, " Chum Churum," and it is expected that she will show another "Jenny Effect," a term coined for her power to sold-out any items that she's endorsing.
"The envy of target consumers toward Jenny, a trend icon, has led to a desire to own and buy products."

BLACKPINK Personal Brand Reputation in February 2021
In Feb. 14, BLACKPINK remained unrivaled at the Top 10 for "Girl Group's Personal Brand Reputation" this February.
Based on the rankings released by Korean Business Research Institute, Jennie and Rosé ranked first and second, respectively, while Jisoo claimed the fifth spot. Lisa then completed the top 10.
