Tzuyu's Family Gets Robbed
On Thursday, Jan. 28, numerous news reports revealed that a trusted individual burglarized Tzuyu's family home in Taiwan. According to reports, Tzuyu's family had recently hired the housekeeper after being recommended to them by a family friend.
The housekeeper, however, broke the trust of the family by stealing from the household. However, she did not steal jewelry or antiques. Instead, the housekeeper stole photographs and TWICE albums, with almost all of them being signed by Tzuyu herself.
Tzuyu's family, however, soon noticed that all the TWICE and Tzuyu merchandise were missing and reported the housekeeper to the Kaohsiung City Criminal University. They soon arrested the housekeeper and retrieved the stolen goods, but it is unsure if all the stolen goods were recovered.
They discovered that the housekeeper stole 62 photos of Tzuyu, 11 TWICE albums, and 2 TWICE photo books. All of these items were signed by Tzuyu. As the police continued their investigation, it was revealed that Wang Nu had sold one album that she stole for $3,000 NTW, or $110 USD.
According to the family, the goods were meant to be donated, and all photos of Tzuyu were personally printed by the family and signed by the TWICE members. The housekeeper who stole the merchandise was found to have put all of what she stole up as a listing on an online shop, where a set of 5 signed photos would cost $250 NTW. TWICE albums were being sold for $3,000 NTW, while signed photo books were sold for $10,000 NTW.
She was soon arrested on the grounds of intending to profit off of stolen merchandise and theft.
