BLACKPINK Rosé Tops 'Weekly Top 10 Music Videos' for 2 Consecutive Weeks + Super Junior, WOODZ Join as New Entries

BLACKPINK Rosé once again tops K-pop Radar's "Weekly Top 10 Music Videos," breaking the record for the shortest solo female idol to reach 100 million views, recently hold by co-member Jennie.

In the newly released rankings of K-pop Radar's "Weekly Top 10 Music Videos," prominent K-pop idols and groups dominated the list, including BLACKPINK and its members Rosé, BTS, and Psy. Along with them, Super Junior, WOODZ, Jessi, and Weeekly also proved their impact---joining the rankings as new entries.

Rose's new song "On The Ground" music video recorded 54.2 million views during the 12th week of the K-pop radar tally from March 14 to March 20, maintaining its No. 1 position for two consecutive weeks.

According to K-pop Radar, the music video for "On the Ground" surpassed 100 million views in 184 hours after its release, breaking the record for the shortest K-pop female solo. They said It is an unprecedented milestone among K-pop female solo artists."

Impressively, it also broke the previous record of her co-member Jennie, who achieved 100 million views in 16 days after the release of her "Solo" MV, which kicked of in 2018.

According to the fandom data-observing platform, this record just proved that BLACKPINK's fandom steadily increased and expanded globally over the past two years.

In addition to this, Rosé also accumulated 184 million views in the past 28 days, wherein Indonesia accounted for 11.7 percent and Vietnam 10.4 percent, followed by Thailand, the Philippines, India, South Korea, and the United States. The popularity of K-pop in Southeast Asia, which is considered the center of globalization, can be seen.

Super Junior, WOODZ, Jessi Join K-pop Radar's "Weekly Top 10 Music Videos"

On the other hand, "Princes of Pop" BTS trailed behind BLACKPINK Rosé in second place. Nevertheless, the septet proved its relentless popularity as "Dynamite" gained 30.8 million views for the week, despite being released in August 2020.

Next is "Hallyu Kings" Super Junior, wherein the newly released "House Party" MV debuted in No. 3 with 12.5 million views. The "all-rounder" Cho Seungyoun or WOODZ followed the second-gen group, with a total of 11.7 million views.

Along with them, Jessi's "What Type of X" ranked in fifth place with 10.3 million views, and Weeekly's "After School" ranked in sixth place with 9.97 million views.

Rosé's group then, BLACKPINK, managed to rank three music videos without any comeback in five months, including BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU-DDU-DU" in No. 7 (8.3 million views), "How You Like That" (7.5 million views), and "Kill This Love" (7.2 million views) which completed the list in ninth and tenth places in order.

Lastly, PSY's "Gangnam Style" ranked in No. 8 with approximately 8 million views, still rocking YouTube fans since 2012.
