Red Velvet Wendy's Solo Debut Album to Have Two Title Tracks

Red Velvet Wendy is about to make her long-awaited solo debut with an album titled "Like Water."

On March 24, SM Entertainment announced that Wendy will be releasing a solo album that consists of five songs. It was recently revealed that among these songs are the album's two title tracks.

Wendy's solo debut album "Like Water" was previously announced to have five songs and it will be released on various music sites including iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify on April 5 at 6:00 p.m. KST. The album's songs will showcase the solo artist's attractive voice, excellent singing ability, and warm emotions.

Among the five singles in Red Velvet Wendy's solo debut album are the two title tracks, "Like Water" and "When This Rain Stops." These songs are expected to fascinate fans through Wendy's incredible singing and strong emotions.

"When This Rain Stops" is described as a slow-tempo ballad that combines heavy piano performance with Wendy's warm vocals. The title track tells the listeners that it is okay to take a break from time to time when you are tired of life.

Wendy will be the first Red Velvet member to make her solo debut, which is almost seven years since she debuted as a member of the K-pop girl group Red Velvet under SM Entertainment in August 2014.

Back in 2012, Wendy passed the audition for SM Entertainment after singing Kim Gun-mo's "Moon of Seoul." She trained for less than two years before she was introduced as a member of the company's pre-debut group SM Rookies in March 2014.

While a member of the group, Wendy released a track titled "Because I Love You" for the soundtrack of the Mnet drama "Mimi." She even appeared in the song's music video. This was her first solo release before she debuted as Red Velvet's main vocalist on Aug. 1, 2014.

After debuting as an idol, Red Velvet Wendy received numerous offers to sing an OST for different K-dramas.

Her first project was to sing "Return" for KBS2's "Who Are You" School 2015." The song was dropped in June 2015 and debuted at No. 31 on the Gaon Digital Chart.

In that same year, Wendy sang "Let You Know" for the soundtrack of the JTBC drama "D-Day."

In March 2016, she teamed up with Eric Nam on a duet entitled "Spring Love," as part of SM Entertainment's SM Station project.

Four months after, Wendy and her bandmate Seulgi released "Don't Push Me" as an OST for "Uncontrollably Fond."

In January 2017, she again sang an OST titled "I Can Only See You" with Seulgi for KBS2's "Hwarang."

In February, she sang the Korean version of "My Time," which is part of the official soundtrack of Disney Channel's "Elena of Avalor."

The latest OST that Red Velvet Wendy sang is "Two Words" for the drama "Start-Up."

Meanwhile, aside from Wendy's solo debut, SM Entertainment previously announced that Red Velvet will be back soon with a more mature appearance.
