The Top 20 most popular artists in Idol Chart's "Acha Ranking" is finally out! In the list, prominent artists including IU, BTS, and TWICE entered the list.
On the recent chart released by Idol Chart, a data-observing platform that tabulates the popularity index of various K-pop artists, top-tier K-pop groups and soloists dominated the rankings.
The data were collected from March 29 to April 5, and through their music points, broadcasting scores, social media points, and music experts' reviews, the most popular artists that received favorable responses from K-pop fans were determined.
IU Becomes No. 1 on Idol Chart "Acha Ranking" in the Fifth Week of March
On April 9, it was announced that K-pop soloist IU topped the Idol Chart "Acha Ranking" in the fifth week of March.
IU ranked first with a total of 23,477 points, including 3963 music points, 16,540 points on YouTube, 10 points from experts, and 2964 broadcast points.
In particular, IU once again proved her influence and versatility as a singer with her comeback, releasing her fifth full-length album "LILAC." The idol proved her titles "Queen of Music Source" and "Digital Monster" as she swept the top spot in music programs, along with domestic and international charts.
Meanwhile, for the first time in 13 years since her debut, IU released a double-title track album, including "Lilac" and "Coin."
The female star flaunted two different concepts, as while she showed off her usual cheerful and fluttering image in the former, she challenged herself for the latter with an attempt to rap, killing it nevertheless.
IU wrote all 10 songs (including co-written lyrics) in her fifth full-length, which summarized her 20s. Upon its release, all tracks entered domestic and international music charts, and the title track "Lilac" also achieved a Perfect All Kill (PAK).
Aside from digital charts, the female idol's physical sales also broke her personal record, selling 270,000 album copies for the first week of its release.

Brave Girls, BTS, TWICE, BLACKPINK: Top 20 Most Popular Artists in Idol Chart's "Acha Ranking"
Trailing behind IU, Brave Girls which is aiming to be a "Summer Queen" with their upcoming return ranked second with a total of 8293 points. As a "reverse-driving" group who just recently started promoting again with their viral track, "Rollin," being in No. 2 proved their overwhelming popularity.
The quartet then was followed by the biggest musicians in the music scene, including BTS with 8089 points, Lim Young Woong with 5093 points, and BLACKPINK with 2405 points, ranking No.3 to No. 5, respectively.
The "Nation's Pick" IZ*ONE and "One-Top Solo" Baekhyun also entered the rankings at sixth and seventh place, while Wei (2409 points), Sunmi (2,350 points) ranked at No. 8 and No. 9.
Lastly, "Asia's No. 1 GG" TWICE, who completed the list without no release this year gained 2234 points.
