ONEUS Reportedly Preparing for a Comeback

ONEUS might be making another comeback this year!

On April 16, a Korean media outlet reported that ONEUS is currently busy gearing up for their upcoming comeback. If RBW, the group's agency, will later confirm the news, it will be the band's first comeback in four months.

Report Says ONEUS Will Make a Comeback in May

ONEUS, consisting of six members namely Ravn, Leedo, Seoho, Hwanwoong, Keonhee, and Xion, is reported to return next month, May.

As per YTN star, the K-pop boy group is currently busy with the preparations for their comeback. One industry insider told the Korean media outlet that ONEUS plans to return next month. The album format, however, has not been decided yet, but it will most likely be released in mid-May.

The upcoming comeback will be ONEUS's second one this 2021, after their January comeback with their first studio album titled "Devil."

ONEUS's Comeback with First Studio Album "Devil"

On Jan. 19, the band released their full-length album titled "DEVlL," which is their first in two years since their debut. It has a total of 11 tracks, one of which is called "No Diggity" which was written by Seo Yong Bae, Lee Hoo Sang, Lee Sang Ho, and Inner Child.

In addition, "DEVIL" is the continuation of ONEUS' last album "LIVED," and it shows the band's current state after picking "life" when they stood at the boundary between life and death.

ONEUS's "No Diggity" is a hybrid track single that talks about following your instinct when it comes to love. In an interview, the group said that the song carries a message of courage saying that people should do what they want regardless of what others will say.

Through "DEVIL," ONEUS was able to show their improvement and their steady rise in popularity. Based on the monthly Gaon Album Chart for March, the album sold 14,771 more copies. "DEVIL" has now sold a total of 118,372 copies as of March.

"DEVIL" is ONEUS's second album to reach 100,000 copies on Gaon Chart, after "LIVED." And since "DEVIL" surpassed the cumulative album sales of "LIVED," which sold 108,257 copies, it is now the bestselling album of ONEUS on the Gaon Chart.

Apart from Gaon Chart, the full album also did well on Hanteo Chart. It sold a total of 78,472 copies on the first day alone. Its first-week sales summed up to 86,122.

Regarding the title track, "No Diggity," the song becomes the fourth release by a fourth-generation boy group to enter the top 5 of Genie's real-time chart. ONEUS now joins The Boyz, Stray Kids, and X1 as the only 4th-generation boy group to achieve this feat.

Moreover, "No Diggity" earned ONEUS a music show win on MBC's "Show Champion" on Jan. 26, just a week after the release of their full album.

And recently, the RBW boy group has hit 100 million streams for all their songs on Spotify, after "No Diggity" reached three million streams.
