BTS snags another nomination this year at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards!
On May 7, local time, MTV announced the nominees for this year's Best Music Documentary for the MTV's 2021 Movie and TV Awards on their social media accounts. And snagging a nomination at the awards show is none other than global superstars, BTS!
Best Music Documentary is MTV's new socially-voted category. In the category, nominees include Ariana Grande's "Excuse Me: I Love You," Billie Eilish's "The World's A Little Blurry," Demi Lovato's "Dancing with the Devil," Shawn Mendes' "In Wonder," Taylor Swift's "Miss Americana," Biggie's "I Got a Story to Tell," The Bee Gees' "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart," The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears," and "Tina."

Going against strong contenders is BTS's music documentary film, "Break the Silence: The Movie," released in 2020. "Break the Silence: The Movie" is BTS's third music documentary film, following "Burn the Stage: The Movie," released in 2018 and "Bring the Soul: The Movie," that was released in 2019.
"Break the Silence: The Movie" goes behind-the-scenes of BTS's "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" world tour from 2018 to 2019. The music documentary was directed by Park Jun Soo, who previously directed the past two documentary films of BTS.
According to MTV, fan voting for the Best Music Documentary will begin on Monday, May 10 local time, through MTV's Instagram Stories. Voting will only run for twenty-four hours, and will close on May 11.
MTV will announce the winner during the second night of the awards show, during the "MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted" portion of the show. "MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted" will air on Monday, May 17 at 9pm ET.

BTS Gearing Up for Upcoming Comeback with "Butter"
Only a few weeks left until BTS drops their new track, "Butter," on May 21 KST. So far, BTS's label, Big Hit Music, has been releasing the group's concept teasers for the past few days.
BTS concepts teasers featured the members grooving individually, while donning a retro look. Fans are speculating that "Butter" which will be an all-English song, will be a sequel to their first all-English song, "Dynamite."
According to the released schedule, BTS will release their teaser photos from May 10 to 17. On May 19, they will drop the official music video teaser of "Butter."
