Rookie girl group aespa has revealed that they plan to release an album, their first one since their debut in November last year. aespa members also shared the achievements that are the most memorable for them.

On May 17, aespa held an online press conference for their new single "Next Level." The new girl group talked about various topics including their upcoming single and the most notable accomplishments they had after their debut. aespa even announced their plan to release an album.

aespa's "Next Level" is a remake of the original soundtrack from the 2019 film "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" and will show the unique color of the rookie group. aespa member Giselle said that the "Fast & Furious" movie is her favorite and that it is an honor to sing a remake of the OST.
SM Entertainment's new girl group added that "Next Level" was rearranged into a hip-hop dance song that stands out with groovy rap and energetic bass, and features the powerful voice of the members.
Considering that the music video for their debut single "Black Mamba" reached 100 million views in the shortest period among the debut MV, expectations for the number of views of "Next Level" MV are high. aespa Karina shared that in the music video, there's a part where she can jump over time and space onboard a spaceship.

At some point, aespa Ningning made a surprise announcement. She revealed that they are currently preparing more high-quality songs that will be launched in an album format. She added that aespa's album will be out soon.
aespa was then asked about the most memorable feat they attained following their debut. They said that one of the most memorable for them is when the music video for "Black Mamba" hit 100 million views in the shortest period for a new idol group.
On January 8 this year, aespa's "Black Mamba" MV was announced to have reached 100 million views at 5:37 a.m. KST that day. The music video was released on Nov. 17 last year, so it means it took one month, 21 days, and 11 hours to reach the mark, surpassing ITZY's record of one month and 28 days with "DALLA DALLA."
aespa Karina commented, "I was surprised when we were announced to have set a big record just with our debut song. Because of that, I thought that I should work harder to repay the fans."

Another memorable milestone for the new girl group is when they took home a rookie award. aespa Winter said, "The Rookie Award is the most memorable one. It is an award that I can only receive once after my debut, so it's definitely worth remembering."
aespa to Make Their First Comeback with "Next Level" Single and Music Video
In other news, SM Entertainment's aespa will be making their comeback later today, May 17 at 6 p.m. KST. Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning will release their new single titled "Next Level" through various music sites. A music video for "Next Level" will also be revealed at the same time.
