GOT7 Jay B Unable to Perform "Switch It Up" on KBS

On May 14, GOT7 Jay B made his solo debut after signing with H1GHR MUSIC. He released his first official solo track titled "Switch It Up." The single features an R&B melody and sexy lyrics, plus a heavy rap verse from sokodomo.

Jay B's "Switch It Up" was an instant hit, climbing to the top spot of music streaming platforms like iTunes in different countries, and also entering the top 10 on the US iTunes chart.

While artists are given the chance to promote their new releases on music shows, Jay B won't be able to do so on KBS.

On May 18, KBS announced that after reviewing GOT7 Jay B's "Switch It Up," it has been deemed unqualified for broadcasting in the network. It is because the track has lyrics portraying too much sexuality, according to KBS.

GOT7 Jay B's Solo and Collaboration Songs While under JYP Entertainment

When GOT7 Jay B was still an artist under JYP Entertainment, he only released one solo track and some collaborations apart from his group and sub-unit songs.

In 2016, he was featured in Baek A-yeon's song "Just Because." It peaked at No. 12 on the Gaon Chart.

In the following year, the GOT7 member collaborated with hip-hop musician and producer Primary for the track "Hush." Also in 2017, Jay B became one of the featuring artists on Jomalxone's "Celebrate," together with Yonko.

In 2018, Jay B launched his first solo single titled "Rainy" as part of the album "Hyena on the Keyboard Part 4" for the music reality television show "Hyena on the Keyboard." Moreover, he teamed up with "Deepshower" in that year to release the track "Higher."

Last year, GOT7 Jay B had several collaborations. He first worked with Jeebanoff for the song "Callin'," which is part of the latter's album "Good Thing" (Remix).

Next, the "ENCORE" singer dropped the track "Dream" with Wavycake and Ovus. Jay B's last collaboration song last year is "In December (Sad Night)" with $ün.

GOT7 Jay B's 2021 Releases as Part of OFFSHORE

For starters, OFFSHORE is a music producer crew that GOT7 Jay B formed with his friends to release music together. Jay B drops songs under the alias Def.

The crew has been launching collaboration tracks since 2019.

Prior to making his solo debut with "Switch It Up," the H1GHR MUSIC artist already dropped four songs with his OFFSHORE crew members. At the end of March, Jay B alongside HNMR and Jomalxne released "Cold Night."

It was followed by a track titled "Just Stay" (Remastered) by the GOT7 member Jay B and Junny. The following song is called "Call Me" by Jay B and Jomalxne. And the latest release is "Sweet Dream" (Remastered), a solo single by Def.

All of these songs are part of the "Scene #3" album by OFFSHORE.
