A popular Chinese influencer is turning heads due to her uncanny resemblance to Red Velvet Joy!
Is This Chinese Influencer Red Velvet Joy's Doppelganger?
Earlier this month, on Monday, Jun. 7, Chinese influencer and make-up guru 贝尔君 shared a Douyin of her dressed up as Red Velvet member Joy with the idol's solo song, "Hello," playing as background music (BGM). Though the video was shared with Douyin, China's version of TikTok, earlier this month, it has only recently started gaining attention from Korean netizens!

Many were surprised due to how similar the influencer looked to Joy. Many people were practically convinced 贝尔君 was Joy!
The Chinese make-up guru sported make-up nearly identical to what Joy wore in her album cover for "Hello." Additionally, the influencer also wore a tip with a similar style and a remarkably similar hair clip.

Besides the styling, however, people pointed out their uncanny resemblance in terms of facial features. Both girls have a v-shaped jaw, plump lips, big eyes with double eyelids, and aegyosal! Additionally, their facial symmetry is nearly identical, which has left viewers both impressed and confused.
Many praised the Chinese influencer for her beauty, with people saying she looked exactly like the "Hello" singer. Others complimented 贝尔君's make-up skills, saying she was able to perfectly mimic and digest Joy's visuals and the concept of the idol's solo debut. ReveLuvs appreciated how she took such small details into account when replicating Joy's look, such as the hair clip.

Red Velvet Joy's Recent Activities
Joy debuted as a soloist on May 31, 2021, with her first mini-album, "Hello." The album consists of six new remakes of popular songs from the 1990s and 2000s. Joy is the second member of Red Velvet to debut as a soloist, following after Wendy.
The album's title track, also titled "Hello," debuted at number 16 on the Gaon Digital Chart and peaked at number 11 the following week. "Hello" peaked at number six on the Gaon Download Chart, while it debuted at number 24 then peaked at number 13 on the Gaon Streaming Chart. Additionally, "Hello" debuted at number 26 on the Gaon BGM Chart.

On the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart, "Hello" debuted at number 43, peaking to number 14 the following week.
Joy is slated to make her return to the small screen in the HTBC drama "Only One Person" on Dec. 2021.
