aespa Next Level has once again reached a new peak on MelOn 24Hits, surpassing BTS' smash hit "Butter." With this, the rookie girl group has set several records.

aespa Next Level Reaches No. 1 on MelOn 24Hits
On June 21 at 8 p.m. KST, aespa Next Level achieved a splendid feat on MelOn 24Hits, which reflects the streams (40%) and downloads (60%) accumulated over the last 24 hours.
In particular, aespa Next Level has successfully taken over the No. 1 spot on MelOn 24Hits, dethroning BTS's "Butter." This milestone is attained in 36 days since its release on May 17.

MelOn 24Hits ranks songs that are really popular and most listened to by the Korean public in real-time. Claiming first place on this chart shows that aespa Next Level is not only well-received by fans but also non-fans and netizens.
BTS' "Butter" has been at No. 1 on MelOn 24Hits since May 22, the day after it was released. This is the first time that the song went down to No. 2.
As for aespa, the rookie group is the first-ever SM artist to take first place on MelOn's real-time chart.
The "Black Mamba" singers are also the very first fourth-generation group to peak at No. 1 on the 24Hits chart.

Moreover, "Next Level" has made aespa the first girl group this 2021 to climb to the top of MelOn 24Hits. It is now the only second release by an idol group to score this rank, the first one being "Butter" by BTS.

The rookie group's achievements don't stop there.
aespa's "Next Level" has become the first song by a fourth-generation group to reach No. 1 on the 24Hits chart since MelOn's reform with a new calculation.
It is also now the third girl group track to obtain this feat, following BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" and Brave Girls' "Rollin'."

aespa Becomes Third K-pop Girl Group to Enter Billboard Global 200 More Than Once
On May 17, aespa officially dropped their remake song "Next Level." In the following week, the song has become the second entry of the rookie group on Billboard Global 200, which ranks the most popular songs in 200 territories around the world.

aespa has now joined BLACKPINK and ITZY to land on the global chart more than once. They have now tied with ITZY for having two different songs on the chart. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has 10 different tunes, so far.
