From January 1 to June 20, Hanteo Chart collected data concerning global authentication of physical albums to measure K-pop artists' global popularity. Want to know who made the top 50? Then keep on reading!
According to the Hanteo Chart, the region with the highest number of album authentications is the United States, where 19.97% of all album authentications took place.
The country with the second-highest number of album authentications in Malaysia, with 17.65%. This was followed by China, the Philippines, Thailand, France, Singapore, Russia, Japan, and Indonesia.
The majority of the fans who authenticated their albums were in their twenties, amounting to 58.66% of the total buyers who authenticated their purchase. The second-largest age demographic is teenage fans, with 30.61%. Fans in their thirties, on the other hand, accounted for 10.28%.
To authenticate an album, the buyer must look for the Hanteo Chart Authentication card in the album they purchase, which contains a QR code and barcode. Then, with the Whosfan app, buyers must scan the code to authenticate their purchase of the album.
BTS No. 1 K-Pop Artist for the First Half of 2021, According to Hanteo Chart
According to data recorded by the Hanteo Chart, BTS had the most album authentications in the first half of 2021. Their most authenticated album was "BE."
The original version, "BE (Deluxe Edition), which was released in November 2020, had more authentications than "BE (Essential Edition)," which was released in February 2021.

The region that authenticated the most BTS albums in the first half of 2021 is the United States, where 33.52% of all BTS albums were authenticated. The Philippines followed this with 17.80% and Malaysia with 17.01%.
ATEEZ No. 2 in Hanteo Chart Top 50 K-Pop Artists for the First Half of 2021
ATEEZ, who is known for their large international fan base, ranked at number two. ATEEZ albums account for 9.94% of all albums authenticated in the first half of the year. ATEEZ's most-authenticated album was "ZERO: FEVER Part 2."

The region that authenticated the most ATEEZ albums in the first half of 2021 was the United States, where 36.30% of all ATEEZ albums were authenticated. France followed this with 9.67% and Malaysia with 8.04%.
