In October of the same year then, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun left SM Entertainment, though they clarified that they will remain as SNSD members.
Since then, the group has been busy with their individual activities, while the remaining SM Entertainment artists Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona debuted in 2018 as a sub-unit, Girls Generation-Oh!GG.
As of 2021, the K-pop superstars are actively continuing their individual activities by opening the second act of their own entertainment activities such as acting and musicals.
Yoona, Yuri, Sooyoung, and Seohyun recently starred in their respective Korean dramas and movies, while Tiffany and Sunny are active in entertainment shows.
As for Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, the female stars are continuously promoting as solo artists. In July, Taeyeon dropped her single, "Weekend," while the latter is set to return with her solo single as DJ HYO in August.
On the other hand, the members are continuously hinting at a possible comeback, SNSD emphasizing that they "will meet their fans soon."
