"Alice" Actress Kim Hee Sun Shares Concern Over Daughter Being a Big BTS Fan

On the July 26 episode of tvN's new reality show, "Honeymoon Tavern," cast member Kim Hee Sun, who known for starring in the dramas "Alice," "Angry Mom," "The Lady in Dignity," and more, shared a concern she has about her daughter being a big fan of BTS and Jungkook.

While having a casual chat with the visitors of the honeymoon tavern, Kim Hee Sun shares that she thinks her daughter, Yeon Ah, who is 12 years old (13 in Korean age) and is currently in the sixth grade of elementary school, is going through puberty as she isn't having an easy time with her these days.

When Kim Hee Sun was asked if her daughter is an ARMY, the collective name of BTS' fans, the actress playfully responds with, "Yes, she is. I mean, if she wants to be an ARMY that much, why doesn't she just join in the army? I want to send Yeon Ah to the military, you know."

Kim Hee Sun also shares her concern about Yeon Ah constantly listening to the same song by BTS over and over again. However, the visitors at the honeymoon tavern explain to her that Yeon Ah listening to the same BTS song is a way to increase the group's views and streams for the song or music video to make it successful.

Upon learning of the real reason for her daughter's supposed obsession with a BTS song, Kim Hee Sun seems genuinely surprised.

"Really? Is that the reason why? She's doing that for BTS? Wow. Then that explains why she says things to me like, 'Mom, the new music video has surpassed 100 million views in just a few hours!'," says Kim Hee Sun.

Kim Hee Sun laughed as she continued to share about Yeon Ah's tendencies as an ARMY. She reveals that Yeon Ah has been constantly referring to the members of BTS as "our oppa," with the actress telling her daughter, "You have no oppa. You are our only child, Yeon Ah."

Meanwhile, BTS' new release, "Permission to Dance," recently surpassed 200 million views on Youtube back on July 26, reaching the milestone after 16 days and 12 hours from its release.
