HYBE's In-House Producer Pdogg Earned the Most Income Among Executives and Employees of Listed Companies
On August 18, KST, it was reported that HYBE and Big Hit Music's in-house producer, Pdogg, who is famously known for producing numerous of BTS' hit songs, had received the highest income among the executives and employees of listed companies in the first half of this year.
In particular, it is worth noting that Pdogg is actually just an ordinary employee at HYBE, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment, as he is not an executive at the company. Despite that, he is able to earn more than a whopping 40 billion won (around $34.2 million USD) annually.

According to reports, Pdogg was able to earn more than 40 billion won through investing in stocks - where he got most of his income from. It is said that he had earned around 40.77 billion won (around $34.8 million USD) in just the first half of this year, earning 39.9 billion won (around $34.1 million USD) through stocks, 38 million won (around $32.5k USD) in income, and about 111 million won (around $95k USD) in bonuses.
The total amount he has earned in just the first half of the year amounts to more than that of Hyundai Motor Group's honorary chairman, Chung Mong Koo, who received around 30 billion won (around $25.6 million USD) in severance pay from Hyundai Mobis.

Back in November 2016, Pdogg had invested in 128,000 shares in Big Hit Entertainment's stocks when it was priced at 1,062 won (around $0.96 USD) each at the time. Now, HYBE's stock price is at 313,000 won (around $286 USD) each, making Pdogg's earnings multiply 300 times.

Meanwhile, Pdogg has been producing and composing songs for Big Hit Music's top boy group, BTS, since their debut back in June 2013. He had participated in over 20 of BTS' albums, and is credited in numerous songs of each album.

With BTS' popularity continuously growing and chart-topping hits, Pdogg, who is credited in the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), has not moved from his number one spot as the highest paid in copyright income since 2018.
With his works, it is no wonder he won numerous awards, such as Composer of the Year, Best Producer of the Year, and most notably, the Grand Prize (Daesang) at the Korea Music Copyright Awards for three years in a row from 2017 to 2019.
