Super Junior Becomes the Only K-pop Artist to Rank No. 1 on Taiwan's KKBOX Music Chart for Hundreds of Weeks

Super Junior has set a record for being No. 1 on Taiwan's KKBOX Korean Weekly Albums Chart for the longest period in history, starting from when they topped the chart in November 2017.

KKBOX is the largest online music sharing platform in Taiwan, founded in 2004, and now boasts over 10 million users domestically and internationally.

Since 2010, Super Junior's extreme popularity in Taiwan can be seen as the boy group's songs take the top spot on domestic music charts following their release. The band also consistently broke their persona record for the longest-running album at No. 1 on KKBOX Korean Weekly Albums Chart in history.

Super Junior is the Only K-pop Artist to Place No. 1 on Taiwan's KKBOX Music Chart for Hundreds of Weeks

Super Junior has maintained its position at No. 1 on KKBOX Korean Weekly Albums Chart for about four years, from Nov. 3, 2017 to Sept. 2, 2021.

First, Super Junior's eighth studio album "PLAY" spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on the KKBOX music chart, then the album's repackaged version "REPLAY" stayed at No. 1 for 79 weeks.

After that, Super Junior's ninth studio album "Time Slip" last for 15 weeks at No. 1, while its repackage version "TIMELESS" achieved 59 weeks atop the chart.

Finally, Super Junior's tenth studio album "The Renaissance," which was released in March of this year, spent a total of 24 weeks on top of the KKBOX Korean Weekly Albums Chart.

Considering these, Super Junior's longest-running No. 1 album on the Taiwanese music chart is "REPLAY," and is followed by "TIMELESS," "The Renaissance," "PLAY," and "Time Slip."

Overall, Super Junior has claimed the No. 1 on the KKBOX music chart for a total of 200 weeks, breaking their previous record of 176 weeks set before "The Renaissance" was dropped.

Super Junior is the only K-pop artist to secure the No. 1 spot for 200 consecutive weeks on Taiwan's KKBOX Korean Weekly Album Chart.

Regarding this achievement, Super Junior leader Leeteuk commented through the group's agency Label SJ, "I can't believe it is 200 weeks already. Thank you to the ELFs who have given us so much love that we continue to be number one on the chart for a long time."

Meanwhile, Super Junior is currently on Taiwan's KKBOX Japanese Album Chart with their latest Japanese album "STAR," which was dropped in January of this year.

Super Junior Breaks Own Record for Being No. 1 on KKBOX Korean Singles Chart with Their Songs

In the past, Super Junior also surpassed their personal record of ranking No. 1 on Taiwan's KKBOX Korean Singles Chart for the longest time with all their songs that entered the tally.

From the first week of June 2010 to the third week of 2012, Super Junior grabbed the No. 1 spot on the KKBOX music chart for a total of 121 weeks with their hit songs "Bonamana," "Mr. Simple," and "Sexy, Free & Single."

Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" and "Mi In Ah" also received much love from Taiwanese fans that they topped KKBOX's K-pop chart for 36 consecutive weeks and 52 consecutive weeks, respectively.
