SF9 Youngbin Apologizes Following Criticism Over COVID-19 Vaccine Remarks
Recently on September 27, Youngbin held a Naver V Live broadcast to have a chat with fans. However, during the broadcast, Youngbin talked about what he has heard regarding the effects in taking a COVID-19 has caused.
"They [people] said that you get sick when you get the vaccine, so I haven't gotten it. Honestly, I just feel like even if I don't get the vaccine, I won't get COVID," said Youngbin.

Youngbin continued, "There have been a lot of people around me, a lot of acquaintances, who have gotten COVID-19 [positive]. Even if you get vaccinated, you can still contract COVID-19. So I am still considering whether I should get vaccinated or not."
Following his live broadcast, netizens heavily criticized the SF9 member for his misconceptions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, especially during a time where governments are trying to increase the vaccination rate.
Soon after, SF9's agency, FNC Entertainment, deleted the live broadcast, and on the morning of September 28 KST, Youngbin took to their official fan cafe to post an apology.

In his issued apology, Youngbin said, "I apologize for causing concern to everyone who are watching over me, because of my comments related to the COVID-19 vaccine. I am deeply reflecting and apologize for my careless remarks on a broadcast that many people were watching."
He continues, "I promise to get vaccinated as soon as possible, and also promise to correct my misconceptions, and be more careful of my words and actions in the future. Once again, I sincerely apologize."

SF9's Latest Album Release
Back on July 5, SF9 made their comeback with the release of their ninth mini album, "Turn Over," which features a total of six tracks, including the title track "Tear Drop," "Believer," "Love Again," "Off My Mind," "Fanatic," and "Hey Hi Bye."
"Tear Drop" is an emotional dance track that features garage style beats and a unique bass sound. The song was written by SF9 members Youngbin, Hwiyoung, and Zuho, alongside Han Sung Ho, and was composed by Al Swettenham and Daniel Kim.
Lyrically, "Tear Drop" expresses the beauty of tears that were shed through sadness.
