Big Hit Music Responds to Reports of BTS V Dating Daughter of Paradise Group's Chairman

On October 14, a rumor began circulating online that BTS' V was dating the daughter of Choi Yoon Jung and Phillip Jeon, the chairman and president of Paradise Group, respectively.

The rumors were raised after V was spotted attending the VVIP preview event for the 2021 Korea International Art Fair (KIAF) opening held at the COEX in Gangnam on October 13. During the event, he was accompanied by a curator as he browsed through the art pieces displayed at the gallery.

In particular, he was seen spending time at the event with Choi Yoon Jung and Phillip Jeon's daughter as they viewed the exhibition.

Several netizens who were present at the event and witnessed the scene took pictures of the two and posted it on social media, claiming to be an eyewitness of their secret relationship.

In addition, netizens also raised the speculation that the bracelet that V often wears is from a brand launched by the chaebol heiress.

Rumors of the two dating quickly spread online after netizens "tipped" media outlets.

Following the reports, V's music label, Big Hit Music, stepped up to shut down the rumors in a statement to media outlet Newsen.

According to Big Hit Music, "V and chairman Choi Yoon Jung's family are only acquaintances. The dating rumors are not true."

Meanwhile, Paradise Group, which is a South Korean conglomerate, is best known for their chains of resorts and hotels of "Paradise City."

HYBE Predicted to Record All-Time High Profit in Third Quarter of 2021

In other news, financial analysts predict that HYBE will record an all-time high profit in the third quarter of the year, with a sales profit of 322.5 billion won ($272.1 million USD) and an operating profit of 68.3 billion won ($57.6 million USD).

Their predicted profits are due to HYBE's artists, BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN and more, who have sold over 4.95 million albums in total, as well as due to the profits from their fan meetings and sales from collaborations and such.

Lee Ki Hoon, an analyst at Hana Financial Investment, said, "The estimated operating profit [of HYBE] for the fourth quarter is about 82 billion won ($69.2 million USD), which is expected to reflect from SEVENTEEN's comeback, BTS' offline tours, and two online concerts."
