aespa Named as 'Rising Stars to Known in 2021' by People Magazine
On September 15, SM Entertainment announced that the girl group aespa, who is currently promoting Savage, was named as "Rising Stars to Know in 2021" by American publication People Magazine.
On September 13, People Magazine introduced aespa on their official website. Their article about the girl group noted that their debut single, Black Mamba, became the fastest debut music video by a K-pop group to hit 100 million views. The music video for Black Mamba only took 51 days and 12 hours to achieve this feat.

Now, aespa has their sights set on global stardom with the release of their first mini-album, Savage, and the lead single of the same name. The mini-album was noted to cross several genres.
Through SM Entertainment, aespa member Giselle said, "It is wonderful to think that I have fans not only in South Korea all over the world."

aespa is scheduled to appear on the popular NBC TV talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show on October 16 at 3 AM (KST), where they will perform Savage and communicate with their international fans.

aespa Recent Activities
Savage, the first mini-album from aespa, was released on October 5, 2021. On the day of its release, it was reported that the mini-album had hit 401,088 pre-order sales. Hanteo Chart dubbed Savage as the best-selling debut album for girl group's on the chart after the mini-album sold more than 200,000 copies on the second day of its release.

In South Korea, Savage topped the Gaon Album Chart. The lead single, Savage, was also a commercial success in South Korea. Upon release, the single topped all of the major South Korean online music charts. On the Gaon Digital Chart, Savage debuted at number four. On the component Download, Streaming, and BGM Chart, Savage debuted at number three, eight, and 62, respectively.
In the United States, Savage debuted at number 14 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. On the Billboard Global 200, the song debuted at 77, while it debuted at number 44 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
