Jennifer Love Hewitt is engaged to Brian Hallisay...only nobody knows who he is. So here's a quick tip sheet on him.

First important deet: Hallisay's also going to be the father of Hewitt's first child. Yup, Jennifer is pregnant.

Hallisay is 34 and an actor originally from Washington, DC. The two met on the set of "Love Bites", an NBC series-but they now co-star on "The Client List". (Falling in love with your co-star? How Hollywood.)

Hallisay has also appeared on other TV shows, including "CSI: NY," "Privileged," "Cold Case," "Bones," and "Without a Trace."   One more regrettable role? Paris Hilton's boyfriend in "Bottom's Up".... which, tellingly, went straight to video.

But Brians's also a well-rounded dude-it's not all acting. He's played basketball, loves music, and is apparently a practical joker. When he was on "Privileged," Hallisay goosed his co-worker Joanna Garcia by moving her car and making her think someone had stolen it.

Hallisay studied economics and history at Cornell and was an investment banker before he was an actor-which indicates that he puts following one's dreams and taking risks over money. OK with taking risks  "I was slaving away at that and I had a really good time with it, but it got to the point where I said, 'You know, I had always dreamed about seeing what acting was all about and television,'" he told press.

Hallisay loves swimming and being active, and spends as much time in the water as possible. He said in an interview, "When I am not in Hollywood working, I like to stay as close to the ocean as possible. I go up to Malibu a lot. I like to get in the ocean, run on the beach, run on the stairs, be active, stay outside."

Bryan's musical interests include Damien Rice, Ray LaMontagne, and Radiohead-he likes singer-songwriters, apparently.

A couple other random fun facts: Hallisay birthday is on Halloween; and if he had his druthers and could play any historical figure, he'd choose John Wilkes Booth. 

With a bun in the oven and an engagement, there are big changes ahead for both Jennifer Love Hewitt and Bryan Hallisay...but from the looks of it, she picked a well-rounded guy with an interesting background.
