BTS' Song to be Featured in Upcoming Animated Film 'Sing 2'

Another song by BTS is reportedly set to be featured in another film, and this time, it's in the animated film "Sing 2"!

BTS' Song to be Featured in Upcoming Animated Film 'Sing 2'

Back on October 17, it was revealed that BTS member Jimin's self-produced track "Friends," which is performed by him and fellow member V, is included in the official soundtrack for the highly-awaited Marvel movie "Eternals."

This time, it seems another BTS song will be part of a movie's official soundtrack for the second time this year!

According to reports, Illumination and Universal Pictures' second installment of the animated 2016 film, "Sing," will be featuring one of the group's songs, alongside the debut of U2's new track "Your Song Saved My Life," and a total of 40 songs from artists such as Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Drake, Prince, The Weeknd, and more.

Although it is not confirmed which song from BTS' extensive discography is chosen to be included in the film, rumors say it is "Not Today" from the group's 2017 album "You Never Walk Alone," a repackage of their second Korean studio album "Wings."

And based on Illumination Entertainment Fanon Wiki, it will be an English version of "Not Today" performed by Ludacris, Will.i.am, Taron Egerton, Jim Cummings, Ernie Sabella, Cody Simpson, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Nick Kroll.

Meanwhile, "Sing 2" features an extensive star-studded lineup, with voices from Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Kroll, Taron Egerton, Reese Witherspoon, U2's Bono, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Leticia Wright, Eric André, Chelsea Peretti, Tori Kelly, and Bobby Cannavale, among others.

"Sing 2" is directed by Garth Jennings and is slated to premiere in cinemas a few days before Christmas on December 22.

RIAA Announces Certifications for BTS' 'Dynamite,' 'BE,' and 'Life Goes On'

In other news, BTS' hit songs "Dynamite" and "Life Goes On," as well as their album "BE," have received new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)!

According to the RIAA, BTS' 2020 summer track "Dynamite" is now a certified triple platinum, while "Life Goes On" has been certified gold, and "BE" a certified gold and platinum.

Based on the RIAA's criteria for certification, an album or song is certified platinum when it hits one million equivalent units; a triple platinum at three million units; and a single becomes gold when it moves 500,000 units.

"Dynamite" also marks the first time BTS received a triple platinum certification in the United States.
