'JISOO SOLO PLANS WHERE' — YG Entertainment Under Fire for Lack of Updates Concerning BLACKPINK Jisoo Solo Debut
On November 7, the hashtag #YG_ConfirmJISOOSOLO and the phrase "JISOO SOLO PLANS WHERE" trended on Twitter. BLINKs took to the social media platform to demand updates from YG Entertainment concerning Jisoo's solo debut.
The last update YG Entertainment gave concerning Jisoo's solo debut was in June 2020. The company stated that Jisoo was in the middle of preparing for her solo debut, but due to commitments to filming "Snowdrop," a drama she stars in, they could not reveal a release date. Instead, they stated that Jisoo would be the last member of BLACKPINK to make her solo debut.

Filming for "Snowdrop" wrapped up in July 2021. Despite that, YG Entertainment has not released any further updates concerning the female idol's solo debut. This has caused irritation and anger amongst BLACKPINK supporters, especially those who favor Jisoo. Many took to Twitter to demand a statement from YG Entertainment concerning her solo debut.
Soon, the phrase "JISOO SOLO PLANS WHERE" trended at number 18 worldwide on Twitter. The hashtag #YG_ConfirmJISOOSolo also trended in several countries, such as Indonesia and the Philippines. Another phrase that started trending was the phrase "JISOO SOLO."

BLINKs Flood BLACKPINK's COP26 Tweet to Demand for Updates Concerning Jisoo's Solo Debut
This is not the first time Jisoo supporters took to Twitter to slam YG Entertainment for their lack of updates concerning Jisoo's solo. On November 3, many flooded BLACKPINK's COP26 speech tweet, demanding a statement concerning the female idol's solo debut.
Their actions at the time spurred mixed reactions with fans and non-fans. Some people slammed YG Entertainment, saying that fans have been waiting for Jisoo's solo for three years, and the other three members of BLACKPINK have already made their solo debut.

People also pointed out that COP26 could make negative judgments about BLACKPINK and Jisoo based on the replies.
