Couple Who Hosted Self-Help Radio Show Found Dead, Committed Suicide Together

The NYC couple who co-hosted a self-help radio show has been found dead in a joint suicide. Lynne Rosen and her boyfriend, John Littig, hosted the popular "Pursuit of Happiness" radio show. They were found dead in their Brooklyn apartment on Monday night due to an apparent suicide.

They called themselves the "happiness gurus"-- but entered a suicide pact.

The couple suffocated themselves by putting plastic bags over their heads and inhaling helium, according to the New York Daily News.

Rosen was a psychotherapist and the host of the show. Littig was a motivational speaker and life coach who would make frequent guest appearances. The show gave people advice on how to live happier, more fulfilling lives.

They gave people advice on how to "be their best selves" and get a "fresh perspective".

Neighbors were shocked to learn of the suicide, which occurred some time over the last week, according to authorities. Other tenants in the brownstone noticed a foul odor coming from their apartment. Then someone noticed blood dripping into the basement through the floor. Rosen and Littig were found dead in their apartment.

An eighty-seven-year-old neighbor said he "knew them for many years," and that  "they were always respectable." But, he added, Rosen "was kind of a cold fish" although Lillig was "an exceptionally nice person."

The neighbor told press, "This is terrible. I'm shocked of course. The world lost a very nice person. He was the salt of the earth."

A different neighbor said the building's superintendent "looked so devastated," Pongo said. "He had gone to the basement, and he could smell it. There was blood coming down into the basement. There was a lot of heat last week."
