BLACKPINK Rosé, Jennie and Jisoo Test Negative for COVID-19 + YG Entertainment Gives Update on Lisa's Health

After it was confirmed that Lisa had tested positive for COVID-19, fellow members Rosé, Jennie and Jisoo underwent PCR tests.

BLACKPINK Lisa Tests Positive for COVID-19

On November 24, BLACKPINK's label YG Entertainment revealed that Lisa had tested positive for COVID-19 in a statement released.

"BLACKPINK's Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 in the afternoon [of November 24]," YG Entertainment said. They added that fellow members Rosé, Jennie and Jisoo were not classified as close contacts, however, they decided to immediately undergo PCR tests following Lisa's positive test results.

"We first shared this information quickly and accurately with staff and representatives, and we took intensive preemptive measures even beyond the guidelines of the health authorities," YG Entertainment added.

The label continued, "In the future, we will spare no effort to support the health of our artists and related staff as our top priority. If there are any changes in the future, we will notify you as soon as possible," the label concluded.

As a safety measure, Rosé had also cancelled her upcoming events and scheduled activities, such as her appearance for a show at the The Hyundai Seoul Mall and a pop-up event hosted by Tiffany & Co on November 25.

BLACKPINK Rosé, Jennie and Jisoo Tests Negative for COVID-19 + Updates on Lisa's Health

A day later following the news, YG Entertainment announced on November 25 KST the PCR test results of Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo. According to the label, all three members fortunately tested negative for COVID-19.

"The result of the gene amplification test (real time RT-PCR) was that Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie were all [tested] negative," YG Entertainment stated.

The label also gave an update regarding Lisa's current health status, saying, "Regarding Lisa, who was notified of her diagnosis the day before she was scheduled to film content, is in very good condition and is not experiencing any suspicious symptoms."

YG Entertainment also confirmed that Lisa's results is a breakthrough infection since all four BLACKPINK members have received their vaccination against COVID-19, and that the label and its staff and artists have been paying close attention to their health and safety through frequent preemptive tests.

"We wish Lisa a speedy recovery, and we plan to faithfully cooperate with the quarantine authorities' epidemiological investigations and take all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19," YG Entertainment concluded.
