On Dec. 12 local time, Billboard announced the final rankings of their "Favorite New Music" poll that started on Friday, Dec. 10. This poll included MONSTA X's "The Dreaming," which went up against Juice WRLD's "Fighting Demons," Alicia Keys' "Keys, Rick Ross' "Richer Than I Ever Been" and more.

MONSTA X's "The Dreaming" ultimately took the top spot after earning the majority of the vote, at 86.72%. The Korean act's new album came out in the same week as their feature film, titled "MONSTA X: The Dreaming," which looks back on the past six years of the boy group's career.

Dropped on Dec. 10, "The Dreaming" is the K-pop boy group's second album that contains 10 songs entirely in English, including the title track "You Problem." This new record comes after their first English album "All About Luv" which was released in 2020.

In addition, MONSTA X's "The Dreaming" carries the message that even though we lost a lot of things this year, we were able to find hope and that we are all connected through the medium of music.

The title song "You Problem" shows a different color from MONSTA X's existing music as it gives off a disco-style atmosphere. The concept of the song can also be seen in the released music video.

In an exclusive interview with the American media People, band member I.M said that the lyrics for the songs in "The Dreaming" are "like a poem" and "kind of dreamy and very soft."

MONSTA X is currently busy promoting "The Dreaming" in the United States. On Dec. 13 local time, the boy group will appear on ABC's morning show "Good Morning America" and on the same day, they will participate in iHeartRadio's "Jingle Ball" tour. In particular, they will perform in the "Philadelphia" leg of the tour.

MONSTA X's following stops will be in Washington DC on Dec. 14, Atlanta on Dec. 16 and Miami on Dec. 19. This is the group's first face-to-face performance in two years, hence, there is a lot of interest in the stage that the band will show during the tour.

MONSTA X's "The Dreaming" Debuts on Worldwide iTunes and Apple Music Album Chart

In related news, MONSTA X's second English album entered the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart after its release on Dec. 10. It debuted inside the Top 10, particularly taking the No. 14 spot.

"The Dreaming" then rose to No. 7 on Dec. 11 and climbed down to No. 11 on Dec. 12 on the worldwide album chart.

Moreover, MONSTA X's "The Dreaming" also secured the top spot of iTunes Album charts in at least seven different countries. It even peaked at No. 7 on the US iTunes Chart Album Chart and entered at No. 17 on the European iTunes Album Chart.

On the Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart, "The Dreaming" entered at No. 35.
