It's official. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has features best for travel and adventure.  

Samsung made an official confirmation on Wednesday, June 5, about the release of their latest keynote offering, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The newest model, which is a rugged version for their current flagship smartphone is dubbed by the South Korea-based electronics manufacturing company as the "perfect companion for exploration, activity and adventure."

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is built with features that make it user-friendly for someone who is always on the go for rough travel and adventures. One of the most prominent and exciting features it carries is its capacity to survive underwater for 1 meter deep, lasting for about half an hour without getting damaged.

With its 8 megapixel water-resistant camera, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active can take pictures underwater. Furthermore, the phone also comes with a water-proof headphone jack to make it possible for users to listen to music while underwater. But of course, users need to get water-resistant headphones, too, to use with the jack.

 Because the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active prides itself with features fit for travelers and adventurous people, it makes use of TFT LCD screen which is more energy-efficient compared to the regular Galaxy S4 which has a Super AMOLED screen. Furthermore, the rugged phone model has a Glove Touch feature making the phone entirely operable with the use of gloves. Also, its battery, a 2,600 mAh unit, is easily replaceable. Volume key located on the side of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone also functions to access the camera, making it quick for the user to take photos when travelling.

However, Samsung did not make any official announcement yet regarding the official release date for their newest smart phone offering, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, but the company hinted that it come this summer and will be initially launched in US and Sweden market.
