Pamela Anderson Ad Too Hot for England; Called `Sexist and Degrading to Women’; Booted Off British Airwaves Faster Than Pamela Anderson’s DWTS Dancing (Video)

Pamela Anderson’s superhot new ad for Dreamscape Networks' Crazy Domains is bringing down the heat from Great Britain's Advertising Standards Authority. Pamela Anderson’s ad was banned from British broadcast after it got four complaints claiming it was "sexist and degrading to women."

Pamela Anderson, who was the first celebrity dancer booted off the 2010 season of DWTS, addresses a boardroom full of men fantasizing about her and her sexy female assistant covered in cream and dancing in a bikini in the ad.

Pamela Anderson, 45, the once and future sex symbol and former “Baywatch” star, isn’t new to having her TV commercials pulled from airwaves. In 2011, Anderson shot a sexy ad for PETA, which is known for its shocking advertising, that was pulled from New York area airports by the CNN Airport Network over concerns that children could see it. In the PETA ad, Anderson did a striptease while checking people through airport security.

In its ruling England’s Advertising Standards Authority said, "The ASA understood that the ad was intended as a parody of a mundane business meeting and was intended to be humorous and light-hearted. Whilst we noted Dreamscape Networks' and Clearcast's comments about the female characters being portrayed as strong, confident business women, we considered that they were also portrayed sexually throughout the ad, not just during the fantasy sequence. Although the fantasy scene, which we considered was sexually suggestive, was limited to Adam's imagination, we considered it gave the impression that he viewed his female colleagues as sexual objects to be lusted after. Because of that, we considered the ad was likely to cause serious offense to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist and degrading to women."

The prissy regulators admitted that the former Playboy cover-girl was the chairperson of the conference and that she was dressed in a business suit and that the fantasy occurred in only one of the attendee’s minds.

The ad was cleared by the industry group Clearcast. Clearcast noted that Anderson is "a celebrity who was known for flaunting her body." The Web-hosting firm also defended Pamela Anderson’s participation. They argued that the the "comical" and "over-the-top" fantasy sequence was limited to the one executive's imagination.

Dreamscape Networks also said the intention of the TV commercial was to be over the top.

The ad may be re-edited for broadcast.
