ITZY Ryujin, ENHYPEN Ni-Ki and More Join the 'Ginseng Strip' Challenge, Show True Charms of 4th-Gen Idols
As fourth-gen idols debuted in the era where social media and the internet are on the rise for promotion, numerous idols along with TXT Yeonjun also gifted their fans with their own versions of the TikTok challenge during their respective online fan meetings.
Among fourth-gen idols, ITZY Ryujin broke the gender stereotypes and joined the challenge in her video call with a fan. While the trend is usually joined by males, the "LOCO" singer showed off her "handsome" side as she effortlessly did the dance that highlighted her coolness.
K-pop fans commented how the female idol once again proved her "girl crush" image.
In addition to Yeonjun and Ryujin, Ni-Ki of ENHYPEN also gained massive attention as he also did the challenge earlier for a fan sign event.
Ni-Ki shyly danced to the music, yet his cuteness and the heart-melting smile in the clip "ended" ENGENES (ENHYPEN fandom).
Lastly, ATEEZ Yunho and San on December 26 also made K-pop fans' hearts beat fast for their own versions of the "Ginseng Strip 2002" dance.
In the clip, Yunho and San exude both cuteness and sexiness that their fans couldn't help but "simp" over him.
The TikTok trend originally came from the original music video of Yung Lean released in 2013. The challenge has been on the platform for a while, but Filipino celebrity Joshua Garcia ignited the trend after his viral version of the "Ginseng Strip 2002" dance, which now has approximately 50 million views just a week after its release.
