2021 has been a successful year for BTS with numerous records broken. Not only did they release two new English tracks this year, but they also held their first offline concert in over two years in Los Angeles and launched their own Instagram accounts.
With the number of records broken by them in a single year, and averaging at least one record broken per month, it might get confusing to know what records they surpassed.

These Are All the World Records Broken by BTS in 2021 So Far
BTS' 'Map of the Soul: 7' is the Best-Selling Album in South Korea
According to Guinness World Records, BTS' seventh full album "Map of the Soul: 7" had recorded a whopping sales figure of 4,440,818 album copies sold in South Korea alone, making it the best-selling album in the country as of March 2021.
This new record broke the previous record held by BTS themselves for their 2019 mini-album "Map of the Soul: Persona," which sold more than 2.5 million albums and made them the best-selling artist for the second year in a row.
BTS Records the Most Weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales Chart
In August 2020, BTS released their hit summer song "Dynamite," which overtook the world and surpassed another summer hit song, "Despacito," by Luis Fonsi, Justin Bieber, and Daddy Yankee.
As of April 2021, "Dynamite" became the song with the most weeks at No. 1 over on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart, spending a total of 18 non-consecutive weeks on the chart and beating the 17-week record of "Despacito."

Another record broken by "Dynamite" is becoming the K-Pop song with the most weeks spent on Billboard's weekly Hot 100 chart!
According to the Guinness World Records, "Dynamite" spent a total of 32 weeks on the chart, with the song landing at No. 1 for three weeks, at No. 2 for seven weeks, and within the Top 10 for 13 weeks.
Since then, the song has remained on the chart within the Top 50 since September 2020.

BTS is the Music Group with the Most Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards
Back in March, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards took place, and during the event, BTS took home a total of five awards, making them tie with American girl group Fifth Harmony for having the most awards won from the event by music group.
BTS is the Most Streamed Group Act on Spotify
Back in April, BTS surpassed British rock band Coldplay to become the most streamed group act on Spotify. They broke the record at 16.3 billion streams on Spotify.
According to Spotify, BTS' most popular song is "Dynamite," which has more than 1.88 billion streams as of this writing.
In addition, BTS is one of the top three most streamed artists on Spotify in 2021.
BTS is the Most Followed Music Group on Instagram
BTS is also currently the most followed music group on Instagram, having received this title back in April when they hit 40.2 million followers, and surpassing British boy band One Direction.
As of this writing, BTS' group Instagram account has 57.8 million followers.
BTS V Becomes the Fastest to Gain One and 10 Million Instagram Followers
Following BTS successful offline concert in Los Angeles, and eventually returning one-by-one to South Korea, the seven members surprised fans when they launched their individual Instagram accounts.
And of course, one of them had to break a record. V went on to break the record for the fastest time to gain one million Instagram followers, having achieved this feat in just 43 minutes.
He also broke the record for the fastest time to hit 10 million followers in less than five hours.

BTS' 'Butter' Breaks Five World Records
According to the Guinness World Records, BTS' 2021 summer single "Butter" broke five world records alone.
So far, "Butter" holds the record for the most views for the premiere of a Youtube music video with 3.9 million views, most views for the premiere of a Youtube video at 3.9 million views, most viewed Youtube music video by a K-Pop group in 24 hours with 108.2 million views (which was previously held by "Dynamite" with 101.1 million views), the most viewed Youtube music video in 24 hours with 108.2 million views, and the most streamed song on Spotify in 24 hours with more than 11 million streams a day after its release.
