Trainee A Leo and Content Production Team Issue Apology Following Leo's Misogynistic Song Lyrics
Recently on December 29, Trainee A member Leo has come under fire within the K-Pop community after a video of him rapping began circulating on social media.
The video, which is now deleted from Trainee A's Youtube channel, features Leo performing a rap piece while the other trainees cheer him on.
However, the lyrics of Leo's song garnered much attention due to its misogynistic and offensive nature, which also portrayed violence towards women.

Trainee A's content production team was also heavily criticized for allowing such a performance to be uploaded on their platform.
Following the issue, Leo released an apology.
Leo started off by sincerely apologizing to everyone who has been offended by the lyrics released on the first episode of "SHOWDOWN."
"As it was a competition, I felt as though I needed to use more provocative words and expressions in order to make an impact. This ultimately led me to make an extremely poor decision in which I feel great embarrassment over," Leo said.
He continued, "I had absolutely no intention to offend or degrade anyone but my words and thoughts were very immature and I deeply apologize."
"I've been endlessly reflecting on my mistakes, and after rewatching the video, I'm feeling extremely embarrassed and ashamed of my performance. Although I can't take it back, I am aware that this was entirely my fault and will strive to do whatever it takes to reflect and learn from my mistakes," Leo added.
He once again apologizes to those who may have felt offended by his inappropriate actions and words, and will take this opportunity to reflect and think of more positive and mature ways to express himself through his music.

Additionally, they will also be more vigilant to ensure that their trainees, including Leo, will understand the issues related to diversity and respect, so that they will be more mindful when it comes to their actions and words.
The production team will also be more attentive and strive to create better content, and once again apologizes for the issue.
