BTS RM Is Spotify's Most Followed Korean Male Artist in 2021
"MEGA INFLUENCER" BTS RM was named as the Korean male artist who gained the highest amount of followers on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify, in 2021. He gained a total of 3,516,973 followers in 2021 and concluded the year with a total of 7,814,832 followers. Aside from that, his monthly listeners on Spotify reached 2,100,463.
RM (Rap Monster), whose real name is Kim Namjoon, is BTS' leader. He is known to release extraordinary music which automatically trends all over the world.

He started rapping at 13 years old and he holds an important place in the history of Korean hip-hop. As of now, he is known as the youngest K-pop idol with the most KOMCA credits.

BTS RM Denies Dating Rumors
Last December 30, a controversial YouTube channel posted a video claiming that BTS RM was dating a non-celebrity girl.
The YouTuber stated that the main evidence came out during RM's birthday last September. This was when the Rap Monster uploaded a set of photos on Twitter to thank the fans for the birthday wishes he received.
Moreover, the YouTuber showed another photo where RM holds a poodle, this ignites the question "Who's poodle is that" all over the internet.
Last December 31, RM posted an Instagram story saying that he did not know the person linked with the rumor. He added that the poodle was his friend's pet.
Big Hit Music, BTS' management agency, officially denied the rumors circulating online about RM dating a non-celebrity girl.
A representative from Big Hit Music told different media outlets, "The dating rumors about RM are not true."
BTS RM and Jin Recovers From COVID-19, Self-Quarantine Lifted
On January 4, Big Hit Music declared that BTS members RM and Jin had fully recovered from COVID-19.
Big Hit Music uploaded the announcement on its official fan community platform Weverse.
"Their quarantine has concluded as of today, at noon, January 4," the agency posted in English. "RM and Jin, who have been receiving treatment from home for the past ten days since Saturday, December 25 are now able to return to their daily activities."
According to the agency, RM did not show any symptoms during his quarantine while Jin showed mild symptoms such as a slight fever.
Before this, on January 3, Big Hit Music announced that BTS Suga completed his self-quarantine and he is also able to return to his daily activities.
Suga, RM, and Jin have all completed their COVID-19 vaccinations. Their last jabs were in August 2021, along with their fellow BTS members. The septet is now on their official long vacation and is set to come back recharged and with fresh ideas.
