It has been a long time since BLACKPINK made entertainment promotions as a group. Because of this, BLINKs feel more anxious as the quartet is nearing the conclusion of their contract with YG Entertainment.

#BLACKPINKCOMEBACKNOW Trends Online As The Group Enters The Last Year of Their Contract With No Hints of Upcoming Release
As of January 11, the hashtags "#BLACKPINKCOMEBACKNOW" and "STOPDELAYINGBLACKPINK" are trending on Twitter as worldwide BLINKs demand the quartet's comeback as a group.
In particular, BLACKPINK released their first studio album, "The Album," back in October 2020, and then they held their first online virtual concert, "The Show," in January 2021.
Moreover, the members concentrated on their solo activities in 2021. Last year, Jennie opened her YouTube channel, Rosé and Lisa released their solo debuts, and Jisoo currently stars in the drama series "Snowdrop."
In addition, it has been almost a year since fans were able to see the quartet come back as a whole group. Because of this, BLINKs are now impatient and express their frustration all over the internet.
Some even claim that it looks like the group is on a hiatus or they enlisted in the mandatory military service because the duration of time of their absence is similar to the military enlistment period.

People even highlighted that their last comeback was before the debut of aespa.
Furthermore, YG Entertainment earns criticism because of this. BLINKs are saying that the agency's artists are supposed to have a comeback each year. The members of the group seem more like Instagram celebrities instead of K-pop artists because of their latest appearance on the social media platform.
Aside from that, 2022 is the last year of the girl group's contract with YG Entertainment. The agency still has not release its plans for the group or if they will be coming back together once again.
With the members' successful solo activities, there are some speculations that BLACKPINK won't be renewing their contract as a group with the agency.
YG Entertainment Under Fire for Lack of BLACKPINK Return
There are rumors all over the internet that YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's management agency, plans to send the girl group on a world tour.
However, there is no solo debut for Jisoo yet, and there is no hint at a comeback from them as a group. YG entertainment is in hot water because, if it's true that they plan on sending the girls on a world tour, the girls would be singing the same old songs.
The solo activities from BLACKPINK members Rosé and Lisa were remarkable as they both released outstanding solo albums. But compared to the other entertainment companies that make their artists busy all year, YG's schedule is stationary.

Other artists from YG Entertainment, iKON and TREASURE, did not have any additional comebacks other than releasing new singles in January and March 2021, respectively.
Moreover, WINNER, with its members currently in mandatory military service, also was not able to see a group comeback in 2021. However, the group alleviated fans' disappointments with the help of members Kang Seung Yoon and Song Mino's solo activities.
Furthermore, there is no hint of Big Bang and G-Dragon's comeback yet, and it is also a long time since fans have seen the artists' return with a new single.
As the agency's artists have been on a break for a while, it is expected that YG Entertainment's artists will be active this year.
