In the list, a total of six K-pop acts made it, the only Koreans who entered among the Top 50.
One of them is global group BTS, which received 719 awards throughout its career, ranking at No. 4. Apparently, the number of awards also includes not only physical awards from ceremonies but as well as titles given online.
Through this, BTS cemented its name as the most-awarded K-pop group of all time.
In 2022, the anticipation is high if this number will increase following the septet's nomination for the Grammys, where they were selected as a candidate for "Best Pop/Duo/Group Performance" with their hit track, "Butter."
SM Entertainment Groups SNSD, Super Junior and EXO Dominate the 'World's Most-Awarded Musicians of All Time'
Following BTS, three groups from SM Entertainment entered the list: Girls' Generation (SNSD), Super Junior and EXO.
SNSD ranked No. 16 with 364 awards. Although they have been on hiatus since 2017 in the music scene, the eight-member group proved their status as "Nation's Girl Group."

EXO then trailed at No. 17 with 360 awards.
On Jan. 17, the group secured another award as overseas K-pop fans, particularly EXO-Ls voted them for the "K-Wave Special Award" at the 2021 Seoul Music Awards.
Super Junior also showcased their influence as "Hallyu Kings" globally as they ranked No. 37 with 250 awards. Based on the list, they also sit atop as the most-awarded second-generation and 4th among K-pop groups overall.
'Girl Power': TWICE, IU Enter 'World's/Top 50 Most-Awarded Musicians of All-Time'
TWICE also entered the rankings at No. 43 with 228 awards.
TWICE is the youngest among K-pop groups on the list, proving their influence and impact just seven years after their debut in 2015.
Last but definitely not least is IU, who joined the rankings as the only Korean soloist, at No. 48 with 222 awards.
Majority of her awards came from Korean music awards ceremonies alone, where she usually dominates and gets the Grand Prize (Daesang) and Main Prize (Bonsang).
