Jimin Gets Teased by His Fellow BTS Members for His Wrist Tattoo

On Jan. 17, BTS Jimin's "Making-of-Log" for the group's "Artist-Made Collection" was revealed on Naver's V Live. The vocalist takes fans behind the scenes of his self-made merch items: "red carving" earrings and a customized hoodie.

In the video, Jimin explained why he decided to make earrings. He said that he usually wears simple earrings like hoop earrings. Meanwhile, he stated that he chose a hoodie as he wanted to make something that he and the fans could all wear together.

Throughout the video, the whole process of creating BTS Jimin's self-made merch was revealed. From choosing the material of the fabric, the color, text, and shape were examined, to the size and design of the earrings.

Jimin thought of adding something to the hoody and earrings that only BTS and ARMYs knew during the sample review. He eventually decided to add the number 13.

Jimin then said that his fellow BTS members tease him about his wrist tattoo as it reminds them of something else - a stamp. Previously, he got the number 13 tattooed on his wrist.

"They said it looks like I received a stamp for competing in a race. They were like, 'Did you come 13th?' or 'Do you get that if you do 13 pushups?" he added.

Jimin is known to like the number 13. Not only is it BTS' debut date (June 13, 2013) but it also represents his birthday (Oct. 13).

In addition to the number 13, BTS Jimin's self-made merch has other special details on it. The purple hoodie has the texts "You Never Walk Alone" (the name of BTS' 2017 compilation album) and "Seven with you" (the lyrics from "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal").

Meanwhile, Jimin's purple hoodie and "red carving" earrings have been officially released today, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. KST.
