Who would've thought that Kang Hoon, who stole everyone's heart as Hong Deok Ro in MBC's megahit drama "The Red Sleeve," is actually a SONE!
Can you guess who his bias is?
Kang Hoon Reveals He's a Huge Fan of This SNSD Member, Shares Relatable Anecdote With The Idol
On February 2, MBC's entertainment program "Radio Star," invited the main characters of MBC's top-rating drama "The Red Sleeve," 2PM Junho, Lee Se Young and Kang Hoon.
In the episode, the latter actor drew attention for admitting he's a SONE (Girls' Generation fandom) and that he decided to become an actor because of one specific member.
"I was a fan of Girls' Generation, and I thought about how to meet them. I wasn't good at singing or dancing, and I thought I could meet them if I became an actor," the celebrity said, implying the "Nation's Girl Group" as one of the reasons he got into acting.
He then added, "I am a Taeyeon fan, the first idol I liked and the last idol I liked, and it was fiery love (alone) when I was in school."

As he was fan-boying over the singer, he shared an anecdote that he even visited the optical's shop run by Taeyeon's family in Jeonju and wore glasses even though he has a good eyesight just to talk with them. He's a Taeyeon fan, indeed!
In response, Kim Gura suggested the actor make guest appearance on tvN's "Amazing Saturday," where the female idol is a mainstay. The actor also revealed that he still has SNSD CD at his home and expressed his desire to get a sign when he finally meets the "Fine" singer.
Meanwhile, SNSD Taeyeon heralds for her solo comeback with her third mini-album, "INVU," (I envy you). The album and title track with the same name will be revealed on Feb. 14.
Kang Hoon Reveals He Auditioned To JYP Entertainment
In the episode, the actor also revealed how he almost became a co-JYP artist of 2PM Junho as he revealed he also tried to audition to the agency.
"I had no dream of becoming an idol, but a friend in Gunsan suggested me to audition for JYP, and I sang Lee Seung Gi's 'Delete' in an open audition, but the (staff) told me to sing the first verse and hang up," drawing laughter.
"I thought I had to revenge, saying, 'What's wrong with JYP?' But I signed a contract with JYP just 10 years later as an actor and my thoughts of revenging disappeared as I signed a contract. I quit basketball and finally found my dream," Kang Hoon went on.
