BTS Jimin Lands on South Korea’s Top 10 Trending Issues For This Reason

BTS Jimin just landed on South Korea's top 10 trending issues due to a touching reason and it's all thanks to ARMYs.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, fans were saddened to hear that BTS Jimin tested positive for COVID-19. But this is not all. He was also diagnosed with appendicitis and had to undergo surgery.

Three days later, his management announced he will continue his recovery at home and confirmed that he already checked out of the hospital.

BTS Jimin Grateful to His Fans, Doctors and Nurses

Prior to this, Jimin shared a touching message for his fans online. He urged the ARMYs not to worry about him. He also told them that he's getting better and he has also been eating all three meals daily.

On Monday, Feb. 7, Sisun News revealed that Jimin's recent health problems became one of the trending topics in the past week. More specifically, Jimin's hospitalization ranked fifth on South Korea's Top 10 trending issues. Other issues that made it to the list included COVID-19 and other political matters.

Once again, fans of BTS Jimin shared the news about him landing on the top 10 trending issues list on social media. They have also been expressing how happy they are because their idol is on the road to his recovery.

On Weverse, BTS Jimin said that he's fully recovered and it's all thanks to those that cared for him. He also expressed his gratitude toward the doctors and nurses that took care of him. Jimin also promised his fans that he would take better care of himself so that they wouldn't have to worry about him again.

BTS agency Big Hit Entertainment also released a statement saying that Jimin already completed his quarantine. They also said that Jimin didn't show additional symptoms while he was in the hospital. The singer's surgery area is also recovering properly without any complications.

BTS Members Who Tested Positive for COVID-19

Jimin isn't the only member of BTS that tested positive for COVID-19. RM and Jin also tested positive for the virus after they returned from an overseas trip in December. Days earlier, Suga also tested positive for COVID-19.

RM didn't exhibit any symptoms despite testing positive, but Jin suffered from minor symptoms such as fever. Suga, on the other hand, also experienced some symptoms that's why he immediately self-isolated at home.

All seven members of BTS already received their vaccinations. They are also boosted. In September 2021, the South Korean boy band encouraged ARMYs to also get vaccinated.

Before attending the United Nations General Assembly, BTS member J-Hope said that ARMYs were wondering if the K-pop group members have already been vaccinated. He then said that they are all inoculated against COVID-19.
