BTS V Causes Internet Frenzy at 'Samsung Unpacked 2022' — Here's Why

BTS appeared in the latest Samsung Galaxy Save the Planet commercial, as well as an event to promote the latest S22 Ultra model.

While there, the K-pop idols helped promote Samsung's newest Samsung Galaxy S series variants, but member V particularly amassed attention for his ethereal visuals!

BTS Promotes Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

On February 9, "Samsung Unpacked 2022" was held, where all the seven BTS members were present to promote the newest editions of the Galaxy S series. The Bangtan Boys have been the mobile brand's official ambassador since 2020.

As part of the promotion, the BTS members took a group and individual shots and shared the snaps on Samsung's official SNS.

But the one who stood out was BTS V, thanks to his ethereal visuals!

Not only did he pose while holding the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but he also showcased his saxophone in the ad. Several other photos of V holding the new Samsung unit also quickly went viral.

BTS Stars in Samsung's Save the Planet Campaign

In a new commercial for Samsung Galaxy, BTS appeared holding the Samsung Galaxy S22. The two-minute clip opens with RM holding several signs and flashing them in front of the camera.

Each of the members also entered the screen with their own set of placards.

BTS urges everyone to rethink their use of plastic materials. They also encourage people to recycle what they can.

BTS Helps Boost Samsung Sales

BTS has a massive impact on the brands that they are promoting.

According to a Big Data Research Institute survey in April 2020, Samsung Galaxy S20 ranked as the number one smartphone among the top three manufacturers.

The brand said that their commercial featuring BTS Jimin had a huge impact on Samsung's marketing strategy.

So, it wasn't surprising that following BTS Jimin's impact on Samsung, the brand sought more collaborations with the K-pop idols.

In August 2020, the brand announced that it would be releasing BTS-themed gadgets. At the time, marketing experts said that Samsung didn't just collaborate with BTS to boost their gadget sales. Instead, they regarded the collaboration as an investment.

All seven BTS members were once iPhone users but they shifted to Samsung since they became ambassadors for the brand.

In the past, Jin used an iPhone 11, while RM and J-Hope used iPhone X.

BTS Suga and Jimin were once iPhone 11 Pro users, and BTS V and Jungkook used iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Other than Samsung, BTS is also an ambassador for a slew of other brands like Coway, Chilsung, Shinhan Card, Good Smile Company, Louis Vuitton, Lotte Duty-Free, Amorepacific, BT21 x Among Us, Hyundai, FILA, XYLITOL, CASETiFy, Samsonite Red, Seoul Tourism, Jamie Wander, BT21 x The Crè me Shop, and BT21 x Tamagotchi.
