NMIXX Shares TWICE Helped the Group a Lot During Trainee Days – Here's How
On February 23, JYP Entertainment's newly launched girl group NMIXX had their first appearance on MBC's "Weekly Idol." In the show, they talked about their trainee days before they debuted with their first single album, "AD MARE" and title track, "O.O."
In the broadcast, NMIXX particularly drew attention by revealing how their JYP's senior girl group TWICE helped them get through hardships when they were trainees. When the rookies were asked about memorable experiences pre-debut, NMIXX mentioned the girl group.
"Is there anyone who remembers their first impression (with TWICE)?", MC Kwang Hee asked.

Jinni then narrated, "I was unfamiliar with my trainee life at a young age, but TWICE seniors kindly helped me. They helped me a lot, so I thought 'They were really good people," she recalled her memories.
"I came from Busan and it was hard to adapt since I was away from my mother, but TWICE helped me so that I could fit in...Momo, Sana, Mina, and Jihyo, were the most memorable. They even bought me food, cheered me up a lot and gave me handwritten letters," Jinni added.
Lily added an anecdote with TWICE Tzuyu, proving she's beautiful in and out.
"I didn't know anything when I first came in as a trainee. It was so difficult when I entered the dance class, it was new for me. But TWICE's Tzuyu taught me so kindly, so I thought she was a really good person," expressing her gratitude to TWICE.
NMIXX Bae Reveals She Became Trainee After She Was Street-Cast
In the same broadcast, NMIXX presented a variety of charms, ranging from refreshing cover dance to doing the "ottoke" song, an essential course of "Weekly Idol."
MC Kwang Hee also discussed three ways to become a trainee. Open auditions, street casting, and following friends who went to auditions.
Among them, Bae revealed, "It was really hot summer, I was walking down the street wearing a summer uniform for a top and a gym uniform for a bottom. At that time, a scouting official came and asked, 'Are you interested in dancing and singing?' I went to the company and auditioned, and I passed right away and signed a contract."
The rest of the members revealed their debut story, saying, "We all passed public auditions."
