Super Junior Heechul Draws Flak After Wearing Red Slippers at the Presidential Elections
Recently on March 4, Super Junior member Heechul attended the 20th presidential elections at the Cheongdam Community Center in Gangnam, Seoul to vote in advance.
In the pictures taken of the idol at the community center, Heechul can be seen dressing comfy in a beige shirt and beige pants. He added a pop of color to his outfit by wearing red slippers and a pink face mask.
While Heechul's outfit seemed normal, netizens took notice of his red slippers and criticized the idol for wearing such.
According to netizens who gave Heechul flak, red symbolizes the political party People Power Party. By wearing red to a voting location, he is accused of seemingly publicly showing his support for a certain candidate at the elections.
After making his vote in advance, Heechul had also posed with a V-sign in front of the cameras, which many netizens also considered as a political sign and message.
