BTS 'Permission to Dance On Stage' — Director Reveals What to Expect at Seoul Concert

BTS is set to have their first concert in Seoul, Korea after more than two and a half years. On March 10, 12, and 13, BTS will hold "Permission to Dance On Stage" at the Olympic Stadium, and will be available for online live streaming and live viewing.

Ahead of BTS' "Permission to Dance On Stage" in Seoul, the concert's director reveals some of the things that fans can expect at the highly-anticipated event.

BTS 'Permission to Dance On Stage - Seoul' to Have Extra Large LED Screens

Back when BTS had their "Permission to Dance On Stage" concert in Los Angeles, the concert directors installed large LED screens throughout the venue.

During past concerts, LED screens were used to display art and props. Utilizing the advanced technology now, concert directors aim to connect the boys with fans who are far away from the stage so they can feel like they are closer to BTS.

According to lead professional (LP) Ha Jung Jae, who will be in-charge of directing the concert, BTS' Seoul concert will be different in terms of its LED screens.

The concert's LED screens will be "movable." It can be moved up and down, and back and forth to provide a variety of views for the audience while maintaining its maximum size in order to enhance the experience of each performance.

"As this is the first concert that BTS will have in Seoul in over two and a half years, we wanted to create a performance that allows us to focus on [BTS and fans'] moment of meeting as much as possible," LP Ha Jung Jae said.

He added, "In this concert, BTS thought that the most important thing was to make eye contact with the fans while singing, and to be one step closer to fans. The extra-large LED screen was decided with this plan in mind."

BTS 'Permission to Dance On Stage - Seoul' to Have Carefully Selected Set List from Entire Discography

While the set list for BTS' past concerts included songs from their latest album, LP Ha Jung Jae revealed that the group's Seoul concert will have a carefully selected set list, which will include songs from their past album releases.

"In the previous concerts, the set list was composed of songs in the [latest] album. But in this concert, the songs will be from the beginning. We completed the set list by discussing with the seven members what songs BTS wants to show their fans and the songs that fans want to see," LP Ha Jung Jae said.

As this will be BTS' first offline concert in Seoul, they meticulously chose songs that all seven members can perform together, rather than their solo songs.

He also revealed two of the songs that BTS will be performing at the concert, which are "ON" and "Black Swan." He added that both the staff and BTS put a lot of effort into preparing the two large-scale performances with dancers.
