Solji Hints at EXID Comeback + Reveals How She Feels About Releasing First Mini-Album

Solji recently talked about a potential EXID comeback and the release of her first solo mini-album.

Solji Teases Possible EXID Comeback

On March 11, the Korean media outlet MK Sports released an article covering the interview they had with EXID Solji.

At present, Solji is busy with her solo career just like her bandmates. She left Banana Culture in January 2020 and signed with C-JeS Entertainment in March of the same year.

EXID has been on an indefinite hiatus since January 2020 to give the members the chance to focus on their solo activities. As it has been two years since then, MK Sports grabbed the chance to ask Solji regarding their group activities.

She said:

"Our members have a lot of affection for the group. Like I said during the showcase, we agreed on going our separate ways but we will also meet again to do something together."

Solji then hinted at a potential EXID comeback, revealing that they are planning on dropping a new album but there's still no specific time when it will come out.

"The members are discussing when to greet the fans as a group and when the album should be released."

The soloist also confessed that she is worried about returning as EXID Solji. She revealed:

"This is the part I am worried about because I have to greet the fans with EXID for the first time after a long period of break."

She concluded:

"I am sorry to the fans who have been waiting, but we will make sure to come back with a good song."

EXID's last Korean release is their fifth EP, "We," which arrived in May 2019. It was followed by a Japanese single, "Bad Girl For You," in December. Since then, the group took a break.

EXID Solji Talks About the Release of Her First Mini-Album 'First Letter'

In addition to EXID's group activities, MK Sports also asked Solji about her first mini-album, "First Letter," which came out this past Feb. 25.

The soloist shared:

"I'm studying in my own way to improve as an artist, and I'm going to try my best to show you step by step."

She then talked about participating in the album's production as one of the songwriters. She revealed that she took part in writing the lyrics for "Pillow," one of the B-side songs.

"I wrote the lyrics with the fans in mind and with the thought that I wanted to give them a warm hug, especially during a difficult time."

About what she feels regarding the release of "First Letter," EXID Solji said that she felt a lot of pressure because it was her first mini-album as a soloist. She confessed:

"There was a lot of pressure. It's also my first album in one year and six months. I tend to worry about how to release an album and what color I should show as a solo artist."

She went on to say that although she felt pressured and had worries, she put those aside and became more excited instead, and eager to "meet the fans sooner rather than later."
