Auspicious CEO and dancer Ryu Jae Jun (RyuD) who started his career by working as an idol choreographer revealed his impression on boy groups he worked with before. What is it like to work with NCT, BTS, EXO, PENTAGON?
On March 11, choreographer Ryu Jae Jun, also known as RyuD sat down for an interview and shared his experience in dancing and working with K-pop idols.
RyuD Praised NCT, BTS – Here Are Reasons He Have Good Impression While Working with Them
In particular, Ryu Jae Jun is the head of AUSPICIOUS Studio, the largest choreography team in Korea. He joined Hi-Het Co., Ltd., which was officially launched not long ago. He is the creative director and announced a new challenge of creating a new idol group.
Throughout his 10-year career as a dancer, he worked a lot with top idols such as the group BTS, NCT, EXO, Super Junior, Girls' Generation Hyoyeon, GOT7, NU'EST, SEVENTEEN, PENTAGON Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, and ONF.
Among them, Ryu particularly narrated his experience with NCT, wherein he was the one in charge of directing the group's choreo for "RESONANCE 2020" &"Beautiful" (2021).

As a group with 23 members, Ryu confessed that it was not easy due to various details. It even took him 2-3 days to organize the members' routine. Despite this, he revealed a good impression on the team and said:
"NCT members are friends I've seen for a long time. I've seen them since I was a trainee, so I know their tendencies and dance styles well. And because everyone dances so well, they memorize the choreography quickly and understand the intention of explanation quickly."
Along with NCT, Ryu also praised global group BTS whom he worked with abroad.
"BTS is indeed sincere on stage. I have strong confidence that (their performance) "would go well." After the concert, I always asked the dancers for opinions on the choreography and stage, and I thought it was really cool to see it. We're sending infinite respect because they were such a good group."
Ryu Jae Jun Reveals Close Relationship with EXO Xiumin, PENTAGON
On the same day, the idol choreographer also named the idols he is actually close to. Among EXO, RyuD mentioned his special friendship with Xiumin, even calling him the "Honorary General Manager" of his studio.
"The most memorable person is Xiumin. He was with our crew from the beginning, and the stage with him is always meaningful. I also made the choreography for the fan meeting before (Xiumin's) enlistment."
Last but not least, he expressed how happy he is when PENTAGON won their first-ever music show win in five years since its debut with "Feelin' Like."
As the choreographer of the track, he shared a sense of accomplishment with them. He conveyed his sincere feelings for PENTAGON and said:
"I'm close to the PENTAGON members, and I felt really good and happy to win first place on public TV this time. I like Michael Jackson and Chris Brown, so I made the choreography in that mood this time, and the response was good and I had fun making it, so I worked without stress."
He expressed satisfaction to members, adding:
"The members learned well, so I think it went smoothly. Everything was good in this choreography."
