NMIXX Receives Silver Certification Plaque by Hanteo Chart for First Week Album Sales with 'AD MARE'
On March 16, Hanteo Chart announced that JYP Entertainment's rookie girl group, NMIXX, had recorded a first week album sales (also known as Initial Chodong) figure of 227,399 a week after, from February 22 to 28, the release of their debut single album "AD MARE," which was released back on February 22.
In addition to this, NMIXX also broke the record for debut albums by girl groups and was awarded Hanteo Chart's Silver Certification Plaque for the first time.
The Hanteo Chart Official First Week Sales certification plaque commemorates and certifies the official record of the artist who surpassed a certain figure in sales based on the data of their first week sales compiled by Hanteo, the world's only real-time music chart.
And in order to celebrate their amazing achievement as a rookie girl group, Hanteo Chart issued NMIXX a silver certification plaque, which is only awarded only to artists' music releases that has exceeded 200,000 in sales figures during the first week upon release.

By receiving a certification plaque, NMIXX is already proving themselves to be girl group who is making significant achievements in both the K-Pop industry and around the world.
In response to their new certification, NMIXX thanked fans by saying, "Thanks to the love [we received] from NSWER (NMIXX's fandom name), we have achieved a wonderful record of 227,399 album copies in the first week of the release of our debut single. We will continue to become a hardworking NMIXX."

Aside from "AD MARE" setting a new record for debut albums by girl groups in the first week of its release, the album also ranked at No. 3 on Hanteo Chart's Single Albums category.

NMIXX Members Sullyoon and Jinni Test COVID-19 Positive
In other news, NMIXX member Sullyoon had tested positive for COVID-19 back on March 14.
According to JYP Entertainment, Sullyoon had experienced symptoms of sore throat in the evening of March 13, and all NMIXX members, excluding Kyujin and Bae, conducted tests through self-diagnosis kits, where she was found to be positive.
Later on March 16, Jinni became the second member to test COVID-19 positive, after initially testing negative for the virus when she took a preemptive test since Sullyoon's results.
JYP Entertainment revealed that Jinni took another test after experiencing sore throat as well.
Both Sullyoon and Jinni have finished their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and are currently self-isolating and recovering.
For the time being, NMIXX has halted their activities.
