MAMAMOO Moonbyul Has Been Doing THIS Since Discovering Her Fortune This 2022

On March 25, 1st Look magazine released their pictorial with MAMAMOO Moonbyul, along with the accompanying interview they had with the K-pop star.

Moonbyul's photoshoot highlights the idol's flawless skin and captivating visuals. This marks her first beauty pictorial since her debut.

Concerning this, Moonbyul revealed that she has a lot of interest in skincare. She shared that her dad gave her an all-in-one refrigerator and it is now filled with makeup products.

She then shared that she would spray body mist from her neck, all over her body, to her sides, past her legs, and down to her feet.

MAMAMOO Moonbyul then talked about her fortune, which she got early this year. She particularly talked about her lucky colors this 2022. She previously shared this through her YouTube channel.

The "6equence" singer told 1st Look magazine, "I got my fortune told early this year and they said my lucky colors are beige and red."

Usually, many people would surround themselves with their lucky colors, and MAMAMOO Moonbyul is one of them. She revealed that after learning about her lucky colors, the things around her are starting to fill up with red and beige.

One example is the time Moonbyul dyed her hair red for her "6equence" promotions this past January.

She also shared, "I carry around a brown-tone wallet. I even matched my shoes and phone case with the color beige."

MAMAMOO Moonbyul Makes Solo Comeback with "6equence"

In other news, MAMAMOO Moonbyul released her third EP, "6equence," on Jan. 19. This mini-album is her first music release as a solo artist in about two years and her third work overall.

"6equence" consists of a total of seven songs including the title track "LUNATIC" and its English version, as well as the pre-released songs "G999" (featuring Mirani) and "Shutdown" (featuring Seori).

On the first day of sales, Moonbyul's "6equence" sold a total of 34,837 copies. This is the highest first-day sales figure for a female K-pop soloist as of Feb. 11. It was later surpassed by Taeyeon's "INVU."

The mini-album went on to record a total of 70,645 copies in its first-week sales, breaking Moonbyul's previous record of 66,047 copies set by her first EP "Dark Side of the Moon."

Additionally, "6equence" held the record for the highest first-week sales of any album by a female K-pop soloist released in 2022, until Taeyeon's "INVU" beat this record.

As of March 10, MAMAMOO Moonbyul's "6equence" has the sixth-highest first-week sales among 2022 albums by female K-pop artists.

In addition to the sales, Moonbyul also achieved impressive chart performances. The mini-album ranked No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in 20 different countries, including Brazil, South Africa, Cambodia, Denmark, and more.

"6equence" even debuted at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, becoming the first female K-pop artist this 2022 to do so.

The title track "LUNATIC" was also well-received, reaching No. 1 in 11 different regions, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Poland, Brazil, and more.
